Brit Could Be Involuntary Commitment Candidate

Sources at UCLA Medical Center tell TMZ Britney Spears has been classified as "G.D." -- Gravely Disabled. That is a huge and dangerous deal. That means the patient is unable to take care of basic needs, such as the acquisition of food, clothing or shelter. Being G.D. is one of the criteria for involuntary commitment.

Several health care professionals tell us Britney has fallen into a "manic state" due to her bipolar disorder. We're also told she arrived at the hospital this morning at around 2:15 AM, but wasn't admitted until 4:15 AM because she was causing such a scene in the hospital.

We first reported that Britney accused her mother of sleeping with her boyfriend. Now we have more. We're told Britney screamed, "The only reason she's admitting me is because she wants to be alone with her boyfriend! She wants to sleep with my boyfriend!!" Britney never said exactly who she was talking about.

When Brit calmed down, she talked about her kids, how much she misses them and how it's unfair that she doesn't have them.

16. Go figure, she is now, and obviously has been for some time, delusional. Her poor boys are going to have a hell of a time in school. They are going to be continually made fun of. I know it's not nice to think about, but you know it's going to happen, even though she apparently has a legitimate medical issue. That's just how kids are. Damn, what a shame her life has come to this.

24. If this is true, I hope this finally gets her the help she needs and she gets better. Having been involuntary commited myself a few years back for having a severe panic attacks and mood swings, I know that it really shocks you into wanting to get better, it was the best thing that ever happened to me.

This just in! Sam has arrived at the hospital, with Britney's mother Lynne and BFF Alli already inside.

No one - not even family members - are allowed inside the room with Brit until visiting hours at 4 pm.

Seems strange that Sam arrived just in time to jump ahead of the line and be the first to see Britney. Did Britney request to see him?

okay everybody, those without compassion need some, those without understanding need some, those who don't know the Lord, need him a lot more than they realize b/c they are just plain lost in this world without Him.

now, people make bad choices and mistakes, it is a growing process us humans go through, called LIFE. some are strong and some are weak. the strong wicked or just plain ole wicked will devour a weak nice person in a second, it happens all the time on all levels of society.

have some of you listen to and or seen the video britney did "Someday" (I Will Understand). this is britney to me.

i believe this all has happened to her for a reason. i am prayerfully hopeful she will get the medical/thearpy help she needs to fullyl recover and support from caring people, loving, and understanding people. i am thankful she at this point is alive and has a chance for a second chance (and more if needed, some of us do), to be with and watch her sons grow up, would love to see/hear her sing gospel music too, not only pop type music, a chance to reconnect with herself again and family and society and become a mature responsible adult and to be concerned about others in a constructive way. a chance to get away from the evil that has surrounded her while in her state of mind.

i am prayerfully hopeful k-feds attorneys, and the judge will be compassionate and not financially take advantage of her right now too and realize how much denying her visitations with her sons has truly cost her already ( but sadly, that alone may be the very thing that has also helped save her life, because i believe that loosing all visitation with her boys (even though phone calls were eventually allowed) was the straw that finally broke her.

i thank God her parents reunited for the effort to save their daughter. i pray God will help jamie lynn, learn (and others) a vauable lesson from all this and will be the wiser and stronger for it and will be able to enjoy their great sister relationship again.

while many may think she has been acting ( really she has been trying to pretend everything is okay and that she is tough and everything has not been bothering her, while deep down inside it has been killing her . )

Her life has unfolded for all of us to see. take a good hard look. someday, we will all understand in God's own plan.

Well she needs help.. can you imagine if she was on her own without her entourage she wouldn't know which end is up.. she is living in a dream world. and the people around her have let her for a while. I also heard that she accused her mother of sleeping with KFed before .. which is obviously not true perhaps she thinks mom is after the pap boyfriend she is in this state it's absolutely ridiculous she needs to get her head in order and if it takes involuntary committement well so be it. At this moment I just can not see this ending well for this woman.
I mean really she doens't have her children she is alienating her family if she doesn't get healthy it will be bad what happends when she can't even pay people to be with her anymore? Hopefully this time it sticks and she gets the help she needs.
