Parents to Sam: She's Ours Now

TMZ has learned Britney's parents have won round one in the tug of war with Sam Lutfi. We're told the doctors at UCLA are now "fully cooperating" with the parents in the treatment of Britney Spears, however, the war probably is not over until a judge signs an order as to who has control.

By the way, the men in white coats are giving props to LAPD's "SMART Unit" which specializes in mental health cases for coordinating the events that went down last night and early this morning.

UPDATE: Sam Lutfi left the hospital before 4:00 AM. Papa Jamie just left.

31. Clearly she is bi-polar and it not taking her meds...that is the reason she is not sleeping. Being away from the public would do her some good and then the paps can focus on someone else for the time being and she can "re-group" I have a sneaky feeling someone out there knows more to this story than anyone else...but exposing the story would expose themselves and they would be in some trouble. Time and karma always uncover the real truth.

32. When she divorced Kevin everyone was cheering that she was of sane mind. Just shortly after she got involve with Lufi she starting with all of these antics. Could it be a possiblilty that he is drugging her. He does have a VERY CONTROLLING past. Maybe during treatment that should be explored.

35. Her parents love her. They should be the ones making the decisions. She has not been in any state of mind to decide who should be in control and Sam needs to go away. Also, the stalkers/photographers need to leave her alone.

39. It's good she's getting help..... again. That dude Sam is probably a schizo himself and needs to stay away from Brit. BUT enough is ENOUGH.. everything is about Brit.. I'm tired of going on this site during work, only to find countless and countless of stories about her.. it aint all about Ms. Spears.. she probably reads this site too just like most stars. She likes the attention but its only making it worst for her and my eyes.

42. This has gone beyond pathetic. The cops were there so the media would stay away.....that is NOT needed for things like this. How does this girl have a chance when obviously people out there are willing to break confidentiality and leak info to the press?!! How would TMZ find out what she is at the hospital for?? Who went and told them because this stuff is NOT public information! Everyone right down to police officers who go and make these unofficial statements to the press use her for media spotlight and money. And her parents are among the worst!! I don't think anyone involved in her life prior to this point should be placed in charge.....the court needs to appoint her a neutral person to watch over her and her assets who is in it for Brit and not what can be made off of her. I have always applauded the court appointed monitor for the kids because he/she has stayed away from the press. That person did their job and did it with dignity! Give the girl someone who actually cares about her and not her money! She needs a nuetral person with no bias who is not caught up in this circus Spears life has become.

45. I feel horrible for this family and the fact that they can not be left alone long enough to get their daughter the help she so obviously needs. Shame on the paps!
