R. Kelly Sued -- Disorder in the Court!

R. Kelly ditched a big gig in Minneapolis because -- miraculously -- he had to show up for a court appearance in Chicago, and now a concert promoter wants his money back, and is trying to haul the elusive R. into an Atlanta court. Good luck with that.
R. Kelly lawsuit
In a suit filed in Atlanta District Court, the Nevada-based promoter Royalty Records (through its associate company Marjani Clothing) alleges Kelly agreed to perform at Target Center on December 6, 2007 with Ne-Yo and Keyshia Cole, among others. Then he moved the show to the 20th ... except on that day, R. got dragged into court in Chicago -- on threat of arrest.

Royalty says in the complaint that Kelly "never intended" to do the show, even though he took a $120,000 fee for it. That's the dollar amount Royalty wants, plus unspecified damages. R. Kelly's lawyer couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

No word on how many decades the case will take to bring to court.

16. i think it is long overdue for r. kelly to pay for his crimes. i really do not see how he can be compared to o.j. simpson. but some people say anything when they lack intelligence. to me this is a classic case of a celeb being able to manipulate the system. once a chester always a chester!!!

25. I'd like to throw my 2 cents in here for the 1st time on this pervert!! I had an on/off again sexual relationship with this guy when I was just freshly 18! He never asked for proof of my age, just took my word for it. I have indeed seen the videos that he denies as him! I can tell you from a very personal perspective that it is in fact him on the tapes! (No surprise there!) These also were date stamped around the same time when he and I were together. "No Coincidence!" Justice needs to be served on this pedophile that considers himself an artist! How dare him claim such a title other than the one he truly is! Tired of Robert Kelly getting away with anything and everything! May God have mercy on his soul!
