Eva Mendes in Rehab

TMZ has learned Eva Mendes is in Utah battling a substance abuse problem.

We're told the "Ghost Rider" star is at the famous Cirque Lodge, near Sundance. The Lodge, which treated Lindsay Lohan and other stars, is one of the most respected treatment facilities in the country.

Eva has been at Cirque for several weeks.

Her rep tells TMZ "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."

182. This one totally blindsided me. I hope she is doing well and gets the help she needs. It just goes to show that we are all human and can fall from grace from time to time. Because these celebrities are in the spotlight, however, their indiscretions are magnified a hundred times over. Everyone needs to realize this and know that there are many people everyday who are going through the same situation. It's not an epidemic, it's just the media sensationalizing the situation to get more viewers/readers. And of course, it works. Why? Because good news is boring. Period.

183. I don't remember the show that aired for a bit on MTV... the one with Cameron Diaz!!! Well, I can't say those two didn't look tripped out on something. Which actually remeinded me the show was called something like Trippin', or Tripped Out?!?!?!

Saw this coming a mile away too!! If you have ever seen that show, you should know exactly what I mean.........

Cameron's going to be next in rehab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You heard it here FIRST!

185. WTF! There's alot of people in rehab..Hollywood Stars aren't the only people with problems. How would you feel if you had a crisis and it was being announced to the whole world. And you wonder why people end up in rehab?? Leave them alone and let them get over their problems!

188. You know what's sad is that the people like Eva who take care of their own issues very discreetly somehow get their privacy invaded. Has Eva been seen banged up in a club? Crashing into poles? Having massive panic attacks?
NO! So why not leave the girl at peace?
