Lawyer Showdown in Britney Case

16. Britney needs counseling while at the hospital (at least a month solid) or be transferred to a happier place for counseling for at least a month and then a counselor needs to live with her until she finally starts acting normally. The house needs to be cleaned out of all prescription and non-prescription drugs and someone needs to mother this girl as it seems she was never really mothered properly. She needs to be taken care of.
I do believe she will eventually be OK.

18. I just don't get it I guess, how can this not be a GIANT conflict of interest. By even talking to him based on todays events would put them in a position where ethically they should recuse themselves from the whole case.

I'm not really keen on the parents either but at least they are allowing a disinterested third party to have control as well and I do think that's reasonable and appropriate.

19. This is disgusting. Britney Spears is in no shape to handle her own affairs. I think her parents (father) have her best interest at heart, not the Trope lawyers or her manager. From the recent picture of her father, he looks like he is exhausted himself. His eyes were bloodshot and tired. Please let her father take care of things.

20. The parents need to get rid of Trope, Trope and Lufti---and anyone who tries to stand in their way. So Sam's "lawyers" that he refers to are Britney's lawyers--so she is paying for him to have lawyers? Yea---get rid of all of them.

21. Mr. Spears is being a dad, good job and glad he had the guts to do what is needed. And the attorney managing the financial end is a sound idea. No one can claim this is about those poor parents only being concerned about the dollars. And Sam Loser has no right to even pretend he should be involved. He is part of her illness and poor decision making. Thank God this has finally occured, Britney needs to be where she is. Her home and dollars are being protected, her health is tended to, now she needs to do her part and work on getting well. Good luck to everyone who loves her. Most of us do wish her well, for her sake and for those two little boys. They need a healthy mother.

22. If Trope and Trope thinks Sam is well meaning they may need to be taken in on a 5150 hold themselves.

It's pretty clear that Britney isn't thinking rationally and hasn't been for awhile so it's not a surprise she's upset. I hope her family hangs in there. It's not going to be easy but there's no way they can allow Sam Lutfi to assume control of Britney's assets and her life. They're just going to have to fight it out. Jamie Spears isn't the conservator by himself, there's an independent person who was appointed as well. What the judge did today seems reasonable to me.

24. Now, this is the way to go. I think her father is the only one that should stand-in. The rest of them just want a piece of her with all the money etc. Even TMZ should not be allowed or get involved. I know some will say "Freedom of the Press". But I don't know if any of you out there remember Connie Francis and her story in "Who's Sorry Now"? Buy a copy and read it. She went through the same thing. Alan

27. She needs to move to Osceola County, Kissimmee Florida. The lawyers here will get her full custody, alimony and all the perks.

28. Finally, something worth paying attention to is unfolding. She was really scaring me. Thank goodness her Dad is stepping up to the plate and geting her help, however 72 hrs or even if it goes to the possible 3 weeks will not be enough time to treat her illness. It doesnt seem to me Brit is a bad person like people want to say. Its definetely not an illness she asked for or would welcome into her life. If everyone would leave her be (especially the pap) maybe she could get the treatment she so terribly needs and get her boys back which I do believe she wants and deserves. 29. How did she find out Sam was out? She should be protected from all outside info, even lied to if need be. Anything to keep her away from the world that put her here. I'm more worried for her now than ever. I don't know who is good and who is bad... That creep Dr. Phil betrayed them all. Where did Sam come from? What's up with Adnan. Brit if you read any of this know that your family is always the place to run home to... not the clinger on's or newbies. Trust in your past baby girl. Your family may not be perfect, who's is?
