Wyclef Jean -- Please, No Fatties!

If you're thinking about getting on stage at a Wycelf concert -- be sure you're under 200 lbs.!

At a Super Bowl weekend performance at 944 Village in Scottsdale, AZ -- Wyclef asked for 30 girls to shake it with him on stage, but announced a weight limit for anyone climbing up to join him.

Wyclef finished his performance with a far-from-Jimi-Hendrix-caliber rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

16.

Harvey Levin was outed on a famous blog. I won't name the blog, but it wasn't Perez! Easy enough to find it.

17. I agree with the above posts saying that it's a safety issue. The stage would collapse under all that weight. I'm positive they didn't weigh each individual before getting on stage, that'd be stupid. I'm sure they'd be fine with 200 lbs, give or take 20 lbs.

19. OH HELL NO!!!!!! I woulda ended that concert 30 seconds after I stepped foot on the stage. This 190 pound ass woulda knocked his scrawny ass off that stage. You DO NOT insult women like that and get away with it. PUNK.

23. Not sure why he is so picky---he doesn't offer anything but fame, and there are women out there who don't give a crap about that--in fact, I think most would see fame as a negative!

24. Did you see the one girl just get up there when he said that and then jumped back down? What a moron! His fans come in all sizes, I really don't think it had anything to do with the size of the stage ~ more like the size and weight of his ego. Wyclef has always been full of himself ~ why do you think Lauryn Hill left the Fugees. His ego weighs more than 200 pounds that's for sure wasn't enough room on the stage~ and his guitar playing at the end sucks! I would have been covering my ears and shreiking Stop, Stop, Stop! LOL

25. Why is everyone getting all defensive over a 200 pound weight limit???? I thought he was going to give a weight limit of 125 or something like that...

28. Well you'd have to be pretty fat or really tall to weigh 200 pounds and think you look decent enough to go on stage. He probably shouldn't have said it but he didn't discriminate against the 180 lb. fatties just the morbidly obese.

29. As a 210 lb mother of two who has lost 30 pounds since Oct., I take the remark as an insult to every woman in general. I f there was a weight limit for the stage, then don't ask so many to come up. It was like saying if you weigh too much don't come up and ruin my image. Sexy, thinner, beautiful girls only please. After all, in America, if ya ain't thin, ya ain't beautiful OR sexy. Uh huh...
Oh, #9------LOVE YOU BABY!

Being fat means you are lazy 99% of the time. I hope you lose weight to set a better example for your kids.

30. Oh PUHLEEEEEZE. Why are women who weigh over 200 lbs now considered "REAL"? What about the rest of us, who actually go to the gym and eat sensibly, who are under 200 lbs? Hell, I am 40 and have still managed to keep it together. The average woman is 5'4" in the US. 5'4" and 200 lbs is -not- "REAL". It's "MORBIDLY OBESE".

I am not a Wyclef fan, but I can understand why he wouldn't want to open himself up to lawsuits if a morbidly obese/sick woman were to come on stage and have a heart attack. "Real"... What an insult to the rest of us!
