Wyclef Jean -- Please, No Fatties!

If you're thinking about getting on stage at a Wycelf concert -- be sure you're under 200 lbs.!

At a Super Bowl weekend performance at 944 Village in Scottsdale, AZ -- Wyclef asked for 30 girls to shake it with him on stage, but announced a weight limit for anyone climbing up to join him.

Wyclef finished his performance with a far-from-Jimi-Hendrix-caliber rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

46. Why is everyone getting all defensive over a 200 pound weight limit???? I thought he was going to give a weight limit of 125 or something like that...

48. He outta get alot of REAL BIG fans out of this comment!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF was he thinking!! And come on give me a break on the guideline BS!!! Like the one person said, we all pay our green for tickets just the same as the next person, no matter if you weigh 50, or 250, once the limit is maxed out on the stage it is maxed, he is just being an idiot!!! And as far as I am concerned he is going to loose alot of fans for this comment. Atleast one's with brains, fat, or skinny!!!!!!!!!!!

49. If I had been there, I would have thrown my beer bottle at his head and hoped it drew blood. What a stupid F**ker.

50. Harry Levin (AKA Wyclef) is openly gay and shares a home in Los Angeles with his boyfriend, a chiropractor Dr. Andy Mauer. This is according to Wikipedia.

52. He just lost himself another fan - I don't have to be fat to think his remarks were in incredibly poor taste. Anyone with as little class as he has doesn't deserve my money.

Show some love to the fat people out there!! :)

53. Well duhhh... there has to be a weight limit people... it's not discrimination against "FAT" people or becasue dude prefers skinny bitches. The stage only can bear sooo much and like another poster said... "shake it, don't break it". I love how people automatically jump to the sterotypical discrimination card first instead of thinking logically. Not that yas helped there TMZ : )~

54. Did you see the one girl just get up there when he said that and then jumped back down? What a moron! His fans come in all sizes, I really don't think it had anything to do with the size of the stage ~ more like the size and weight of his ego. Wyclef has always been full of himself ~ why do you think Lauryn Hill left the Fugees. His ego weighs more than 200 pounds that's for sure wasn't enough room on the stage~ and his guitar playing at the end sucks! I would have been covering my ears and shreiking Stop, Stop, Stop! LOL

55. wy-who? his ugly ass shouldn't be discriminating, he's no catch himself! big girls want to and can shake it just as well as skinny chicks. my girlfriend has a little junk in her trunk and she can dance better than lots of other girls i've seen. don't be hatin

57. #27

"ain't" is now a word. look it up.

and stop discriminating against people who are overwieght- 200 lbs is nothing. I can see 250 and being a bigger health concern to woman (men hold wieght different) but it is up to that person. If they feel beautiful and they are okay with a higher chance of diabetes and heart disease, than let them be happy and do not hate them.

Ya know, my best friend, he weighs 240, and he is dead sexy. sure, some of it's muscle, but some of it isn't, and it doesn't matter, because there are many other things about him that are very attractive.

And as for me, yeah Ive gained fourt pounds in the last year (due to medication) and Ive lost 10 of those in 3 weeks.. I know Im going to get back down to 190, but in the last year I've been in relationships with guys who normally are not attracted to bigger girls- and it's cause of the way I carry myself, and the person I am. Wieght may play a role in finding someone to screw, but it's not the biggest role.

So grow up, and learn to love.

58. Everyone's entitled to their preferences - c'mon people, a woman weighing over 200lbs would be huge. How many women would want an equivalent fat guy.

59. I agree with the above posts saying that it's a safety issue. The stage would collapse under all that weight. I'm positive they didn't weigh each individual before getting on stage, that'd be stupid. I'm sure they'd be fine with 200 lbs, give or take 20 lbs.
