I hope this is true. If Trope & Trope are truly Sam's lawyera as well. If so, that would seem to be a conflict of interest at this point. I can't help but notice the absence of Lufti and Adnan. Could it be Adnan is under the care of the U.S. Immigration Department, and could it be that Lufti is under police scrutiny? OH, the drama. I don't watch soaps, except for this one.

471. Hoorah!! At last some common sense and rational thought can be brought to this insane situation. I absolutely love the comments people are making, mabe the "commish" should take a look at TMZ comments before he decides what to do. It really is curious that the very firm that wanted nothing to do with the Spears debaukle is now solidly on the gravy train. It just seems so obvious to me that Jaime Spears should be the one in charge of the situation. No way are the courts going to give control of Britney's affairs to her errand boy and drinking buddy, Sam Lufti! I don't care how "good" Sam's intentions are, noone is going to defend Britney more (or more effectively) than her own parents. And YES, YES, YES!! to the people who said that Ms. Spears needs to learn to accept the word "NO". Mabe if she hadn't always been fawned over by slimy money grubbers like Lufti in the first place, she wouldn't have fallen so far or so hard. REALITY baby, the rest of us get stomped by it every day, it's time you were introduced to it.

472. How can a group of lawyers take the "family" to court? These are the same lawyers that wanted to dump Britney because she was acting crazy. I smell a rat behind this and the rats name is SAM LUFTI. Her assests need to be protected. She doesnt even have a penny saved for her childrens future. In the hands of this group I believe her money will be gone in no time. No attorney should have complete control over someones assests. I think the judge will throw this case right out the window. Oh and who are the witness? The paps who follow Britney (the ones who took the picture of her privates)? Adnan the person who followed her for years trying to get inside her circle and last Shady Sam who has absolutely no experience being a manager and no one knows where he came from. Yeah that group has got a snow balls chance in hell of getting the ruling overturned. Good Luck Spears family hang in there, the parasites are almost gone.

476. Oh Boy! To Shalene and Skye, Who does Jaime Spears think he is? Well, I suspect he thinks he is her father. And noone, not even crazy Britney, has ever argued that point. So, yes, he has EVERY right to be involved in her life. As to where he was during her divorce? Probably hoping she could handle it herself, probably giving her the chance to act like an adult in control of her own life. I don't get the impression he enjoys the position he is in. He obviously avoided involvement untill it became absolutely necessary to step in. To me that shows a lot of respect for her life and independance. And finally, judging a man by the way he looks in the middle of a life tragedy, photographed by intrusive paps, in the middle of the night, after he has obviously been CRYING, not drinking, is so shortsighted I don't even know where to begin. I would question his motives if he were polished, full makeup, a suit and styled hair. That is not how a caring father would look after his daughter was just forcibly committed to a psych ward! Please, think your opinion through before you committ to it, things are not always the way they seem at first glance. Also remember personal bias, our experiences can alter the way we view a situation.

479. The streets are full of people with mental disabilities. Why is no one questioning why these peoples families are not doing anything about them? It's not as easy as it looks. You can't just say "she's crazy, let's commit her." There are steps that need to be taken. Once a person becomes an adult, the family can no longer make them do anything they don't want to. Until the time comes when they become a danger to themselves or others. Then, as now in Brittneys' case, the next of kin are the ones appointed. If they are not judged able by the courts, then someone is appointed. I worked with mental health patients for a long time. It's not all cut and dried and is a long drawn out process.

480. I think Britneys dad knows whats best for HIS daughter. Why doesn't everyone lay off the parents. First everyone is mad because they werent helping Brit, and now that they are helping and trying to protect her from the Lufties of the world everyone is out to get him .
