You know, if I was a resident in this town I would be so pissed off that the police who need to be taking care of "actual crime"..are devoting themselves to play body guards to celebrities that can afford their own security. It's out of control and don't you people have a high crime rate. Wow..good to know that if someone goes to that town they won't get any police protection or care because there may be a celebrity who need the cops more then lets say a "rape" victim.

I would be phoning your government officials and demanding a stop to this. At least in Britney's case they are looking into having her repay the 25,000 bucks used to transport her to the hospital..

113. Why is this type of police security only offered to Tom Cruise? Britney Spears was mentally ill and couldn't even get this sort of police protection from the paparazzi, unless she was at court! If there were such a concern for one celebrity that we had to use our tax dollars for police protection, wouldn't it just be more prudent to make tough laws concerning paparazzi behavior? I really don't understand why no laws have been made yet.

114. It is inappropriate that anyone in America would need police protection to walk 10 feet. in a public place, in broad daylight. None of us would wish that on another citizen. Yet here, these comments invectively inflame the situation and some imply near-criminal intent. Anonymous is creating a difficulty where no difficulty exists. It is inappropriate, for we all enjoy the same, hard won rights, payed for (by some of us) in war.

He is one sick individual and is pulling her in regardless of your stand on the situation. He needs to get out of his little world and movies (which he can no longer make) and get a home somewhere quiet and peaceful and then we would not have to foot the horrible tax bill he causes by being around.

118. Ok, this is the second time in a week where the L.A.P.D. has used bad judgement and taxpayers money to protect celebs. Don't dare say that Cruise paid for it out of his own pocket because we all know that is illegal. The L.A.P.D. has always been shady and everyone knows it and this does nothing to make people change their minds. How do you justify this waste of taxpayers money??????????
If half of these celebs flew under the radar, they wouldn't need security at all. There are how many celebs in that town that go on with their daily lives without security forces following them around and drawing attention.
How many other calls went unanswered because these officers were pulling security detail for Mopather (isn't that his real name)?

119. First of all, I would be incredible PO'd if I was a resident of California and saw this sort of waste of precious and much need police time. Disgusting.

2nd, CoS is a CULT people, and the only way to stop a CULT is to expose and BOYCOTT anyone having anything to do with it.

3rd, TC has brought this crap on himself by his maniacal and offensive propaganda of his CULT. I wonder if the bed next to Britney's is free?????
