18. In California, lawyers are required to have a written retainer agreement signed by their client. Since Britney has been hospitalized and Mr. Streisand supposedly cannot get into a locked psychiatric hospital wing to see her, how did he get a retainer agreement signed by her? That doesn't even approach the second question of whether or not Britney would have present legal capacity to sign such an agreement. Third, she had 2 co-conservators who have the exclusive power to deal with contracts and agreements on her behalf. So, IMHO, Mr. Streisand is not qualified to speak on her behalf in court, even to express her wishes regarding appointment of a conservator. Her retainer agreement with Trope and Trope is likely limited to representing her in family law matters; not a general retainer for all legal matters.

23. I feel really sorry for Britney. Shes obviously not competent because shes in shock or coming off of something. Shes had a long year and it jsut keeps getting worse and worse. You can handle only so much and being in the spotlight all the time for every single one of your failures has got to take its toll. I wish her a speedy and healthy recovery and hope she is back on top of her life soon. I bet her children and family miss her the way she used to be..

27. Yikes at 5:20...I totally agree...parents are definitely after the cash. Her parents doing this to her will only put greater stress on her and make it harder for her to get better. They know this, but don't care, they just wanna control her estate, no matter what it costs their daughter. And you can bet dad is asking that Brit pay his legal fees.
