Jamie's Lawyer Denies "Hostile Takeover"

Jamie Spears Attorney Jeryll Cohen, who reps Jamie, submitted a declaration to the conservatorship commissioner, claiming Brit's divorce lawyers got it all wrong when they assumed Jamie was a control freak.

In the declaration, Cohen says Ron Rale, a high-powered lawyer at Trope and Trope, "accused Mr. Spears of attempting 'nothing more than a hostile takeover of our client for improper purposes.'"

Cohen says Jamie was looking "for the least ugly way to save this young woman's life, bring her back to her babies, and keep her safe from predators."

James (Jamie): My husband (the father of my step-daughters) is going through a mirror image of what you are dealing with right now, only difference is that my husband is dealing with his daughter at a much yoounger age- 14. He is the 'bad guy', yet he is the only hope of his daughter maintaining a normal life. It's not easy to be 'THE PARENT', I/We know...keep your spirit strong & know that you are doing the right thing for your child...your job as her parent is to protect her from danger, not to be her best friend....

93. I dunno what happened last time I posted here but my comment did not come up. Anyhoo I hope the CA District Attorney steps in and adds 1 + 1. Screw Daniel's inquest, this is serious. Two lives have been lost by the SAME PEOPLE (as far as we know), we don't need another one now!

95. so these people from thorpe & thorpe or whoever they are wanted to quit representing britney in the custody case and now they represent her over the conservatorship? so which is is? do they want to cut ties or represent her in everything? they need to back off, quit communicating with that bastard lutfi, and let jamie do what needs to be done to get britney well.

97. Wow mom and dad are trying to save their daughters life and they are called control freaks? Jamie don't back down, your daughters life is on the line. Get her out of CA, get her somewhere that the law will protect her and back you up.
