77. This is very tragic. My prayers are with her family and those few friends that actually love her. Of course, none of the real friends from her life are a part of her life anymore because this person is not the Britney they know. It is Britney under the control of a mental disease and being exploited by people who would do her nothing but ill.

Legally, the hospital had no choice but to release her once she was stabilized enough not to be a threat to herself or others. The best thing that can happen from a legal standpoint is to have her drive all over town erratically again. If that happens, they will once again have grounds to commit her. But until she legally demonstrates yet again that she is a "danger" in the legal sense, they simply cannot hold her against her will. It does not matter that her "will" is based on mental illness. This is not relevant. The law concerns itself simply with whether or not she is a "danger". If she is not, then there is nothing to be done but let her loose. Like I said above, I pray for her family and true friends from her past. It must be unspeakable for them, understanding that she might end up dead in the very near future. I read that the AP already wrote her obituary several weeks ago. So, I think most people in the public are ready for this to end very badly. But there is simply no comfort for her family and real friends at this point in time. All they can do is pray for her, and all we can do is pray for them.

83. I can't believe they let her go. If she actually has a psychological problem, there hasn't been enough time to properly diagnose her, let alone treat her. If she was on drugs, voluntarily or otherwise, she hasn't had time to detox. If she is just a little drama queen trying attract attention with her stunts, her ass should be thrown in jail. Any way you look at it, she shouldn't be free to drive around the streets in LA. What is wrong with the state of California and its psychs?

84. I find it hard to believe that just 2 days ago she was classified as "gravely disabled" and yet today she is released. Either the doctors were wrong then or they're wrong now. Such a shame, I really thought she was going to finally get the help she needs.

85. Bottom line - she is over 18 and is not currently a ward of the court. Her parents' court ordered protection only extends to her business dealings. If she wants to go out driving, endangering herself and others, she can appearently do so.

There is not much that can be done for an adult who does not want to seek treatment. Concerned family and friends just have to wait until the person hits bottom and recognizes that they need treatment. This young woman may well be dead before this happens.

For most people, the person ends up living on the street before the realization sets in. I cannot imagine that the leaches that have attached themselves to Brittney will allow that - they will kill her long before that happens

86. This girl is truly sick. And the fact that the laws "protect" her from getting neccessary mental help, are the same laws that will help destroy her. The current laws allow the mentally ill to refuse treatment. And people who are very mentally ill most of the time will refuse treatment. We've all seen the homeless, Britney is now the like many of the mentally ill on the streets except that she still has money to spend.

Remember Howard Huges? He was a billionare in serious need of mental treatment. He died crazy and alone. Like Howard Huges, Britney has no insight into her own mental illness. In her eyes everyone else is wrong. I don't know how bad her parents may or may not be.....but there is plenty of mental help out there and family support for all of them.

Old interviews clearly show Britney hearing apparent voices. This is a very sad situation.

89. Who is paying for all of these lawyers? Is Brit footing the bill for Federline, Adnan, Lufti, and her parents legal council? Imagine what her legal bills will be at the end of the day.She's surrounded by unethical parasites.
