Britney Free -- How It Went Down

Britney Spears TMZ has learned UCLA doctors determined Britney did not pose the legal danger to herself or to others, such that they could continue to hold her against her will.

As a result, she was released today and we're told she's already back home.

The conservatorship is still in place. Sources connected with the case say they anticipated that UCLA would probably release her before the 14-day extension because she became cooperative and relatively stable.

We're told the goal with Brit's mom and dad was to establish the conservatorship while she was hospitalized so she would return home to a controlled environment rather than the chaos that consumed her life.

66. california is f'd up!! She should not be allowed to drive-most people would not be allowed to until a dr said they could. how are her parents going to keep her from Sam? She will be broke and dead when he is done with her. THE COURTS IN CALIFORNIA ARE A JOKE!!! This poor thing needs help but everyone is working against her.

70. What do they consider a legal danger? If this girl isn't the definition, I don't know what is. If she wants to put her life in danger, that's her business, but she in putting everyone on any California roadway in danger. It's amazing how she recovered from being "gravely disabled" in less than a week. Glad releasing her into her parents custody worked so well. Someone is paying the hospitals off to keep letting her out.

I don't know what type of Psychiatric system they have there in California...but I know the health care system in most places would not let you legally drive a car on the medications she is taking. And given the severity of her disease most places would not allow her out without intense outpatient treatment and therapy. She's already out running around...looking for her "enablers" a few hours after release??? This does not seem to be a good sign...not good at all.

73. moderate, this smells of hollywood bull.!! any normal person would have been banned from going near a car let alone what this sick woman is doing around town..when will they get it when she kills someone on the street or herself?. i just dont understand, i thought she was going to get the proper treatment for her condition.. i dont see this ending in anything but deep trajedy.. she will either kill herself or somebody else and why didnt her parents do something what are they going to do now?. britney spears is a walking lethal weapon... keep away from los angeles ,... brit is liable to crash into you..

74. Here's how it went down!!

First she Brought in Starbucks for all the Employees and Patients for the Crazy House.
Then She gave everyone a $ 100.00 gift card to Rite Aid. Then she Blew everyone at the COKO COKO house. and gave everyone herpies and while they where being treated for the STD britney Snuck out to the waiting car that Sam was driving.. She gave him Road Head and they Drove off!!
