34. Regardless, if Heath was addicted to prescription or illegal drugs or not. He was a human being that happened to be a celebrity and have access to all these things with his money and fame. With that said, he was a lost or lonely person using all the wrong avenues to get through life. I hope people can have a little more respect for Michelle, his daughter and family. Leave them alone and quick "murdering" him again in the media. He is already dead and the gory details are just further insults that torture those who knew him.

37. It's interesting that three of the substances in his system were not found in his apartment. So he may have casually gotten them the night before and they were still in his system. Or, imagine this, the evidence of these three substances may have been removed from his apartment. This lends credence to people like me who think that it's not out of line for the cops to speak in more detail to the masseuse, maid and Mary-Kate Olsen. I still legitimately think that a plan may have been coordinated to remove any pills that he may have improperly obtained or that may have had someone else's name on the prescription bottle. (Hmm. If I was a crooked masseuse and found a prescription bottle with someone else's name on it, I might just call that person and say, "Hey, should I get rid of this?")

As to a doctor being to blame for prescribing so many different pills, it's very unlikely that he got them all from one doctor. Mention has been made that many celebs get prescriptions from overseas doctors when they travel. Addicts often "doctor shop" to get as many prescriptions as they can from as many doctors as they can.

39. Why would he even need to be on painkillers in the first place? Tranquilizers, I can understand, but 2 painkillers? Wtf is wrong with doctors these days? They don't even bother to check what other meds their patients are on?

What the hell was he doing with all those sleeping pills OMG I guess money can bye you your own death and doctors are willing to kill you for the right price wow there is no way he did not no if you mix all those drugs u will die what did he think he was invinsable. I guess when you are rich u think nothing can happen to you cause your in a movie not you are sitll a human an god still will take u even if you do have money

42. What the heck ~ how can doctors prescribe that many Benzo's to one person???? The half life of those medications is really long. By the time you take the next one the first one may not have full effect, but the metabolites are still in your system!

That too me is a seriously questionable practitioner. If the patient did not fully understand the medications overdosing would have been easy.

43. Slut doctors do this because they know the guy has money! The state's need to have the balls to take their licenses away...but the medical (AMA) protects these jerks! Just like in Elvis's case. It never changes. ANd Ledger should have had the good common sense not to do it. Actors just want to "lose" themselves when the camera is off...no thoughts for their families. I feel no pity at all for that reason, he had so much going for him.

44. it is funny, in this country as long as you have M.D. after your name you can legally give massive amounts of unnecesary drugs to people and also get away with murder.
