92. As a crime scene detective I have worked numerous death investigations and never have I seen this many mixtures of meds as an accidental death. Mixtures of this many meds is usually intentional, resulting in suicide. May he rest in peace.

94. I don´t think that anyone of you that are writing all the rude messages ever have had trouble sleeping. When you havn´t slept enough for days or even weeks, you can´t think clear. When my insomnia was at worst, I would have taken every pill I could get just to be able to sleep. You can´t think clear and you forget things all the time. It doesn´t matter if he was famous or not, this could have happened to anyone. What´s the point of blaiming him, his family or the doctors? Keep your stupid comments somewhere else and let the ppl who cares write here instead.

Heath was one of the best actors I knew, his accent and his looks made me so happy, I will miss him and I will miss all the movies he isn´t gonna make in the future.

95. carlaiii, Normal people with common sense and a brain are afraid of combining Tylenol and Tums? WTF? Only a paranoid idiot would be afraid of combining those two meds. I'd be afraid of taking too much Tylenol because the LD50 is too close to therapeutic and it has a negative effect on the kidneys but there is no way that combining it with Tums is going to be a problem. Tums reduces the stomach acid and prevents medications from being dissolved and thus lowers the amount of a med that can be absorbed before it passes out of the body. Please learn something about the normal functions of the human body before you post more stupidity.

I don't think he deliberately tried to off himself. I think he was just sick & tired. It's a HUGE loss. I highly doubt he did it on purpose. From the way the reports show that he was found would suggest that perhaps he knew something was wrong right before he passed out. My mother is a nurse and said it is possible that he accidentally overdosed, started to feel short of breath, got up to get help, passed out and stopped breathing all together.

It happens more often than one would think...with all these pills people are given.

100. It is truly a shame that Heath Ledger OD'd on all of those prescription drugs. He must have had doctors here in the US AND in London, Australia. To me, this means that it was Ledger's responsibility to inform all of HIS doctors what medications he had been prescribed by the other doctors. We need to place the blame where it belongs...on Ledger and not the doctors!

101. As a NURSE who is familiar with all of these drugs, I can guarantee he was an addict.
Oxycodone is an extremely strong narcotic painkiller, usually used for controlling cancer related pain.
Vicodin is usually given for severe pain that is injury or surgery related,
Xanax is an antianxiety med, NOT a sleeping pill, with multiple different doses, same as the narcotics.
Valium is another antianxiety drug, NOT a sleeping pill, with multiple dosages available.

That $20 dollar bill was used to snort his combination of legal drugs. That's most likely why the police stated that it did not have any ILLEGAL/ILLICIT drug residue. They specifically did NOT state that it had prescription drug residue.

What I would be curious to know is the level of each individual drug in his blood, and what was in his liver and kidneys, because that will tell us exactly HOW MUCH he had in his system, WHEN he had taken the drugs, and IF they had been metabolizing in his system at a given length(all signs for abusing drugs).

The guy was a good actor, father, friend, but the simple fact is, he was an addict TOO. No doubt he was DEPRESSED, because of this and his personal life.

Most MEN DO NOT leave suicide notes, do NOT ask for help once they have decided to commit suicide, do NOT half-ass it, in other words they usually make sure that they complete the deed.

I am sad he died, but he did it to himself. He chose to take the drugs. Although the physicians involved in giving him the drugs have a huge responsibility in this, although just like Anna Nicole-Smith, you can find unscrupulous people in ANY profession, when you trhow enough money at them.
I have a feeeling that was what Ledger did, as long as those bottles were prescribed to him.

I really wish that managers, publicists, and family and friends would actually DO WHAT IS RIGHT for actors and entertainers who are in trouble, even if it makes them mad. OHHH, you aren't in the good graces, oh no, but that person is ALIVE, getting help in real rehab or a hospital(not "Celebrity Rehab", Dr. Drew, you should be ashamed) and will thank the people who interevened and remember those who did not.

Addiction won't just go away, so get a clue people, and help your friend and family member before they are dead and YOU feel guilty for not stepping in.

Bless Matilda Rose, who will hopefully never have any addiction problems and will lead a normal life.

102. This is sad but not unexpected . The cult of celebrity can get their hands on whatever they want,when they want it and wherever they are. How can you police the worlds doctors when in fact perhaps many of them were not even aware of each other or what Mr.Ledger was on. Plus the bottom line is he was a big boy and could read warning labels . Tragic but the fast lane has claimed many not just in Hollywood .

104. I am sickened by this senseless loss, and even moreso now that we have evidence that it is due to the overmedication of this society. America needs to wake up and realize that these pharmaceutical companies are selling us addictions and death. Someone on behalf of Heath's family needs to lobby Congress to mandate a centralized database tha must be accessed by doctors and pharmacists and that lists a patient's current prescriptions from ALL treatment providers. If there is potential for toxicity, they would be unable to make or fill a prescription. Currently, doctors have an incentive to prescribe medications from companies that wine and dine them. Let's create a disincentive by making it really easy to hold them responsible. Of course there will be those who continue to abuse by getting these pills illegally, butlet's take the burden off of the patient to read and decipher the fine, but potentially life-saving, print regarding drug interactions. It's a shame that this young talent, father, brother and son has to serve as the sacrificial lamb, so to speak, on this issue, but I'd like to see something positive come out of it.
