TMZ has learned K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has hired über-publicist Elliot Mintz to be his new media consultant -- and we caught them out on the town to seal the deal.
The duo was at Mr. Chow last night when one photog asked if the pair were "teaming up for anything," to which Kaplan responded, "I think so."
Mintz, who famously repped John Lennon and Paris Hilton, takes over for Michael Sands -- who is now working for Sam Lutfi.

17. Kaplan is an evil monster. Why is he hiring a PR person? And why should Britney PAY for it? You know she will get billed for it! No one is monitoring this guys legal bills! He has free rein to do whatever he wants! And Britney has to pay! Why can't KFED get a more reasonable lawyer? Why is kaplan spending so much time and hours on this one case!!! He is a parasite gone wild. He is a want to be and just lovng the publicity. Why is he the only lawyer having press conferences and worrieed about media coverage? He want to rake in more money! At least T&T doesn't have press conferences! If this were you or I we would have to worry about our legal bills! Kaplan has a free check book! I am not sticking up for Britney, but this is just not fair! And there is a real problem with him if he is trying to muzzle Michael Sands now! Why!

28. Kaplan looks like a Vanpire. Why does a sleazy, money mooching, shyster lawyer need a Media Consultant? Is Britney going to pay his fees - like she does all of Vanpire's fees? I hope before she pays one more dime to that nasty Kaplan, Papa Spears and lawyers look over his books. He and Dirt Bag K-Dud expect to stay on Britney's Gravy Train the rest of their lives. Is there an honest lawyer in Hollywood? I didn't think so.
