Adnan getting approval from Brit's dad to visit her seems inconceivable unless Jamie is trying to smooth out his strained relationship with Britney before the "temporary" conservatorship is terminated. That could happen at the hearing tomorrow. The probate court will look at medical reports and Britney's most recent psychiatric evaluation at the hearing tomorrow and decide one of three possible actions, to extend the temporary conservatorship to March 1st, limit the temporary conservatorship to give Britney more control, or terminate the temporary conservatorship. Unless at the hearing tomorrow the court finds that Britney is not "gravely disabled," the temporary conservatorship terminates automatically on March 1st, 30 days after it was ordered on January 31st. If the temporary conservatorship goes to the end of 30 days, the court can reinstate temporary conservatorship for another 30 days or order permanent conservatorship. But Britney's bipolar illness does not make her a candidate for a permanent conservatorship order.

Here are some excerpts from the California Probate Code that will determine the judge's rulings:

5352.1. The court may establish a temporary conservatorship for a period not to exceed 30 days and appoint a temporary conservator on the basis of the comprehensive report of the officer providing conservatorship investigation filed pursuant to Section 5354, or on the basis of an affidavit of the professional person who recommended conservatorship stating the reasons for his recommendation, if the court is satisfied that such comprehensive report or affidavit show the necessity for a temporary conservatorship. Except as provided in this section, all temporary conservatorships shall expire automatically at the conclusion of 30 days, unless prior to that date the court shall conduct a hearing on the issue of whether or not the proposed conservatee is gravely disabled as defined in subdivison (h) of Section 5008.

Section 5008 (h) (1) For purposes of Article 1 (commencing with Section 5150), Article 2 (commencing with Section 5200), and Article 4 (commencing with Section 5250) of Chapter 2, and for the purposes of Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 5350), "gravely disabled" means: A condition in which a person, as a result of a mental disorder, is unable to provide for his or her basic personal needs for food, clothing, or shelter.

5350. A conservator of the person, of the estate, or of the person and the estate may be appointed for any person who is gravely disabled as a result of mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism. The procedure for establishing, administering, and terminating a conservatorship under this chapter shall be the same as that provided in Division 4 (commencing with Section 1400) of the Probate Code.

1801. Subject to Section 1800.3: (a) A conservator of the person may be appointed for a person who is unable to provide properly for his or her personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter, except as provided for the person as described in subdivision (b) or (c) of Section 1828.5. (b) A conservator of the estate may be appointed for a person who is substantially unable to manage his or her own financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence, except as provided for that person as described in subdivision (b) or (c) of Section 1828.5. Substantial inability may not be proved solely by isolated incidents of negligence or improvidence. (c) A conservator of the person and estate may be appointed for a person described in subdivisions (a) and (b).

Section 1828.5. (b) If the court finds that the proposed limited conservatee possesses the capacity to care for himself or herself and to manage his or her property as a reasonably prudent person, the court shall dismiss the petition for appointment of a limited conservator. (c) If the court finds that the proposed limited conservatee lacks the capacity to perform some, but not all, of the tasks necessary to provide properly for his or her own personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter, or to manage his or her own financial resources, the court shall appoint a limited conservator for the person or the estate or the person and the estate.

51. just me...thank you for that information. One of the most fascinating legal aspects of this case, from my view, is the fact that she is effectively being denied the right to instruct or get advice from counsel. I really can't see that they could allow that to continue much longer, but without a lawyer to challenge it on her behalf, she's stuck.
I think T & T are in Court today on the motion to withdraw? That could be interesting, as I understand that the basis of their request is that the father will not let Britney have contact with them. I'm guessing the reason they subpoeaned Sands was because he can give evidence that Jamie was working with KFed in some way to allow KFed to retain custody. It's crazy that her dad got rid of the lawyers fighting for her rights to see her kids, when there is no one to replace them and it basically means she has no one to fight her case, whether you think she should have custody or not, the denial of a right to representation is just wrong. Funny how he gets rid of her manager and PR too, and instead of replacing them with qualified professionals, he's clearly decided to take the role on himself again and has her working on a tour. Crazy stuff. He says she's so sick she can't talk to lawyers or look after her own finances, but he wants to parade her on stage around the world in that state? WTF??

56. None of us (except perhaps Donna who says she met him) really know Adnan. He is good looking and sexy, and we just don't know his true intentions about Britney. But he has not done anything bad to her, at least not yet. He deserves the benefit of the doubt. As to him being married, he has also been separated since before Brit. Don't forget Brit's mom was dating Jamie Spears before he got divorced. And millions of others do the same thing these days. But back to Adnan -- he might turn out to be a greedy bastard after her money, and he may not. But one thing that makes me angry is how when all of you are slamming him, you keep mentioning "Muslim". That's got nothing to do with anything. Brit was already used and abused by her husband KFed who is not Muslim, and the Alexander guy, ole all-american jock to the core, made money off her after that stupid drug-fogged "marriage" in Las Vegas. He wasn't Muslim either.

anyway, maybe her dad is taking one step at a time with her problems and if he and bitch-lynne want to staya in her life and try to help her, they have to take it that way. Who knows? Maybe if they let Adnan in, they can keep an eye on him and get to know him and protect her that way.

Regarding The Spears Family, I suspect the man who "slick Sam" called a hillbilly might just be smarter and have a great deal more common sense than someone with multiple degrees from a university. It's quite clear to someone with common sense why Adnan would be permitted to see Britney as scheduled by Mr. Spears! Someone of us would explain and, yet, others could never comprehend.
