Why is Brit's paparazzo BF Adnan Ghalib chatting it up with cops? We hear he may have socked another pap who was shooting him at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Hello pot, meet kettle!

Cops are being tight-lipped about exactly what went down, but we're hearing the photog may have gotten a little too close to Ghalib, who was with two other girls -- neither of which were Britney.

I'm sure he will offer up flowers and silver-toungued speeches in an effort to smooth things over with all sorts of explanations for who they were and why he was with them. Yeah.
