Bball Star Under Criminal Investigation

TMZ has learned that NBA All-Star forward Richard Jefferson is under investigation by Minneapolis cops for allegedly choking a clubgoer -- then threatening to kick another guy's ass.

We've obtained the incident report filed by security at the Graves 601 Hotel. According to one witness, Jefferson got in a "minor verbal disagreement" which escalated to the point where Jefferson was on top of the patron, allegedly choking him.

According to the report, the New Jersey Nets star left the club, and then encountered the witness, who asked Jefferson to remain until the disagreement was sorted out. The witness says Jefferson responded, "Say another word, I will kick your ass."

Minneapolis PD tells us Jefferson is under investigation for "assault with significant bodily harm." No charges have yet been filed.

A rep for the Nets tells TMZ, "We have no comment."

61. I hardly doubt either of you are credible........

#1) A teacher, former or not wouldn't say ANY OF those things in my opinion. Call a student a rapist (when, let me guess, you were there?!?!?) Your writing style also denotes that you aren't or weren't a teacher AT ALL.

#2)Does anyone else find it IRONIC that two posts hit so close together that say they CLAIM to have attended school in some fashion with him?!?!?!?! Real reliable.

BTW, I went to H.S. with Britney, Paris, and Walt Whitman!

63. #60 - Yes, I am one of his former teachers. Why wouldn't a former teacher be allowed to comment? I am sorry you don't care for my writing style in this blog, but it is not a thesis paper., I am just commenting quickly. Furthermore, if you look back at my comments, I did not call him a rapest, I said what the "female students" refered to him as. The fact that a similar post followed mine doesn't mean they are not true, in fact, it verifies it. Check your facts. He went to Moon Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona. There was a race riot his senior year that he was involved in, and the school did win the State basketball championship. He was awarded a scholarship to U of A (that is the University of Arizona!) but left the school after his junior year to join the NBA. I am sorry you don't want to believe the truth.
