Farrah's Son Busted for Drugs -- Again!

Redmond O'Neal, son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, has been busted for DUI and drug possession -- for the second time.

On January 26 at around 3:20 AM, Los Angeles County Sheriffs pulled over the 23-year-old for speeding on PCH in Malibu, and arrested him for DUI, felony possession of heroin and methamphetamine. Redmond was released on $10,000 bail. No court date has been set.

In 2005, Redmond pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. According to the National Enquirer, Redmond has been in rehab a dozen times.

In 2007, Ryan got into a fight with his other son, Griffin, after Griffin allegedly tied Redmond to a staircase. Griffin claimed to have found Redmond unresponsive and feared his brother had overdosed, so he chained Redmond to a banister to prevent him from leaving to get drugs.

95. Wow... you posters are a bunch of bastards.

YES, these drugs are "bad." YES, DUI is dangerous. But for the love of God, have a little sympathy! People who are happy and stable don't become drug addicts like this. Clearly, this kid has emotional problems. He's most likely NOT a happy guy who just wants to get away with everything. He's an addict, and it IS a disease.

You say he shouldn't be doing these drugs and getting DUI 'cause his mom has cancer. Maybe the fact that his mom has cancer drives him to use more drugs because he can not handle it emotionally, and that's on top of the fact that he most likely has a real, physical addiction.

Cut him some slack, guys. You don't know anything about the situation, which is sad, not something to be mocked.

98. #93 - Claire - Perhaps people are not inclined to enable criminals the way that you do. Justify it all you want, but they are criminal actions. He doesn't need slack from anyone , thats what got him in trouble in the first place. He needs to be held accountable for his actions, Like any other adult.

99. His mother has a disease its called Cancer.
He has an addition. He chooses to stick druges into his body, he will have a disease at some point if this continues. (Hepatitis, Aids, etc.) Until He Chooses not to shovel poison into his system this will continue.
He doesn't need slack. He needs a rehab program and prison.

103. He's been a hardcore addict since he was around 12-13. I know someone who is going through a similar situation. He is in his early 20s and his mom has sent him to tons of high priced rehabs and done anything and everything to get him clean. So far he has relapsed every time. I doubt Redmond thinks of anything other than getting high. There is some genetic disposition, add a Hollywood upbringing and nutty father and there you go. Isn't Mel Gibson's twin sons in rehab for crack addiction? Drugs are an epidemic. As Brad Renfro said in an old interview that just aired on one of the entertainment shows, don't ever start.
