Brit's Dad Still Large and in Charge

The hearing is over and the Commissioner in Brit's conservatorship has extended Jamie Spears' turn as conservator until the next hearing on March 10.

Commish Reva Goetz's current orders are still in effect -- Brit's conservators still have the power to deal her financial issues.

The Commissioner has also ordered that Britney undergo what's called a 730 evaluation -- a study of a family for the purposes of child custody -- the results of which need to be turned in to her by the next hearing.

As for Sam Lutfi, we're told he's hiding out and still hasn't been served with the restraining order. One lawyer even said, "I believe he is intentionally avoiding service." Ya think? The next hearing on the restraining order was previously set for Feb. 22 -- and he must be served at least 48 hours before then. Perhaps they should hang at Area.

61. Intentional or unintentional, Britney sure knew how to take all the attention off of her sister, Jamie Lynn, and onto herself.....not only with the public, but also both her parents. Jamie Lynn is probably alot more mature than Britney. It's a good thing because while she is having her baby, mom and dad will have to be taking care of Britney. I'm sure Britney would want it that way.

"After court-appointed overseer, lawyer Sam Ingham told the judge that he has not been able to complete a full and proper psychological evaluation of Britney, Judge Reva Goetz ordered that the conservatorship be extended again until March 10, at which point another hearing will be held to determine its status."

They should just hire someone from X17 to serve him - they'll know where to find him. Or maybe they should track Alli or Paris Hilton in stead!!!!!!!!

Sorry I'm seriously running out of comments when it's coming to Britney Spears and her family. As far as Sam "drugging" Britney, that's just a story made up by Ma Spears to make her itsy-bitsy little 26-year-old daughter look innocent of all wrong-doing. Sam was just giving Britney her medications, but if you believe Ma Spears, Sam is at fault for everything --- the disappearance of the dinosaurs, the sinking of the Titanic, global warming, and was the 2nd man on the grassy knoll. If Britney took drugs not prescribed to her, that was HER choice.

Why does Ma Spears wear such a heavy cross around her neck? Is she a nun? She must be; her daughters are so modest and chaste. (giggle)

73. To David (msg #37): the reason for why the evaluation couldn't be done until now is because the conservators didn't have enough power to get the necessary money out of Britney's funds. These funds were in a trust and inaccesible to anyone other than Britney until the judge gave the conservators access to this trust today. This frees up money for security and medical expenses.

75. To Linda (msg #50): there already is an impartial lawyer assigned as a second conservator. His name is Andrew Wallet, and his job is to make sure that Jamie stays on the straight and narrow in his role as conservator.
