Contestant Kristi Lee Cook also signed a recording deal in 2001.
These are the ones who have all had deals nothing is found on him except that he was on star search.

258. David had entered Star Search...may have won...so what? Does that means he's a full-fledged 'Pro' like u suggested? If I may quote from an article I read..All this brouhaha bout his 'past experience' "it's just like playing in a Junior league, and now he's like trying to break into the Professional field"..So are u saying that all our Junior League players shouldn't try to get into professional circuit 'because they have got their chance'? so stupid
And about u saing he's a phony cos he's insecure when he had been singing since a young kid..Listen to his voice before and his voice now..do they sound the same? Instead of just dealing with the normal voice change every boy faces,he also had to struggle with the vocal cord paralysis. Can't u see how he cud have been insecure? or perhaps ur soul r just so tainted with the corrupted world today that u just can't see it. It's like he has to start singing all over again, train and get control of his voice all over again. Thankfully his voice is better now, but I dun think he sees it that way. I'm thinking that he's thinking bout all the voice range he had before, and lost by him now (dun think he'll be able to pull off "i'm telling u i'm not going" with all the high notes like before; and i hope he won't try coz it might damage his cords further)...which is why he's being insecure. And if u guys see through his past performance as a young kid, and now as a teen, u'll see that he looked much more confident before rather than now. Maybe because now he's a teen and shy and awkward, but personally i think his voice-change and vocal-paralysis really shook his confidence up. So we need to support a great talent like him, help him build back his confidence...and not trashing him to slanderous and baseless articles like this!! Shame on u TMZ...u dun have to be a sourgrape just becoz the kid is a zillionth times better than u!!

260. You guys suck! This kid is an outstanding talent, is humble and down-to-earth, cute and likable. He was in a contest at age 12 and performed on Jenny Jones,and for that you want to hang him?! Get real! The rest of his experience is singing at church functions and the school talent show. For that he should be banned from American Idol? Good grief! A lot of the others have put albums out and have performed as opening acts for real stars.How "experienced" can you be at 16? Between the age of 12 when he won Jr. Star Search and 16, he had two years when he couldn't sing at all. Now his dream is back on track and you are trying to derail this sweetheart. How low can you go?

I am besotted with the kid. I love his soaring vocals, the passion in his singing. I feel kicked in the gut when I hear him sing. If there's any justice in the world, he will win AI in a walk. Leave David alone, you losers!

262. David played on Star Search and did a song on Jenny Jones, as well as Good Day Utah.

He doesn't have any records out, just allot of homemade videos of songs he'd done. Going on as a contestant on Statr Search does NOT mean he's a PRO or had any record contract. Come on People, get real, TMZ needs to do their research, but they through out inaccurate tidbits and people byte. They are truly HIT and RUN Entertainment Media.

I used to WATCH TMZ, but quit after I noticed they were INACCURATE and caugth LYING in many stories. They are no better than the ENQUIRER.

Hey Harvy, want to come and video tape the Bigfoot in my backyard? He sings too, every morning!
