It's a Family Affair! Brit's Bro Now in the Mix Too!

A judge has granted a request to have Britney's older brother, Bryan, be named as the trustee of his sister's trust.

30-year-old Bryan and attorney Ivan Taback have been granted the authority to serve as co-trustees.

According to documents filed today, Britney is the sole trustee of the trust. But, according to the trust, "an individual Trustee shall cease to act as Trustee hereunder if he or she is under a legal disability or if by reason of illness or mental or physical disability, in the written opinion of two doctors then practicing medicine, he or she is unable to manage his or her affairs."

Since Bryan and Ivan Taback were named successor co-trustees, they assume control. Stacy Smith is also named a successor co-trustee, but had previously declined her appointment.

106. The brother works as a tv producer, and is a producer on Zoey 101, his other sister's tv show. He has also worked for Britney through the years.

Let's see, instead of family, who really loves her, helping to take care of her, let's get Sam Lufffffffffffti or Adnan Ghalib, who has known her a month or so, to take over as trustees of her life and fortune. Sam actually wanted to be a trustee when the conservatorship was set up. He got Trope to request that Grossman and Luffffffffti be named as conservators instead of her father and a court-appointed lawyer. That was denied by the court.

I'm going to assure you that Britney has already taken care of her family over the years. Britney's career was a family project, as most child careers are. It took the effort of all the family to get her to the top of her field so that Simon Cowell called her the no. 1 pop star in the world. No child arrives at that position without blood, sweat, and tears from her family unit. I believe that nobody in the family is going to be hurting for money at this point, nor should they be. Father is, of course, the exception, as he has insisted on earning his own way.

Which of you, earning the kind of money Britney has earned and still brings in every month, wouldn't be sure that your entire family was set up for life? I know I would, and I think she would, too. I would even make sure that my ex-husband was financially secure from worry, and I don't even like him very much.

I know the Internet gives a lot of you kicks and you write a lot of trash mostly for the titillating fun you get out of the whole thing. However, most of what is written is wildly inappropriate and you probably know that.

107. What this means is, the more people they get involved the less chance outsiders like Osama can take advantage of her. So, the family is stepping in and forming a protective circle around her. Briliant move! She will be much safer now and the coward Osama will not be able to get to her.

maybe it would make more sense to have someone neutral, not related, no friends, a financial advisor with a degree to be in charge of brit's finances. the irs is looking into her finances as it is. if her brother was in charge since 2004, he messed up big time. he seems arrogant and like a user. so what if he's family. i know many families where the brothers or sisters would screw them for money. as for him never going to tabloids to get money instead. he isn't stupid, if he did that he'd be cut off forever. neutral party is better than family. if not for what i am saying about her brother, at the very least to save her relationship with her brother. never mix money and family. she could turn around and think he made wrong choices.

I could not have said it any better than you did! When you are dealing with a child performer, it is an absolute that the entire family is involved! I speak from experience with a daughter who had amazing gymnastic talent and was involved in the sport from a very young age. It took a LOT of money on our part, absolute agreement (and some disagreements), total dedication, understanding, etc., etc., and so forth from the ENTIRE family (and this included brother and sister plus grandparents!). The sad part was shen she started to grow at age 14 and the coaches knew she would be tall so they began to switch their focus from my daughter to others. It took quite an emotional toll on a child. I would never do it again. And, I am sure there are times the Spears family questions themselves, espeically with all the negative attention not to mention the suppositions by oh so many posters.

I am just glad the little guys are seemingly secure and happy in their FATHER's home. One can only hope the court commissioner maintains his rational position on Britney's parenthood and the completely chaotic situation her life has become. This recent push toward normalcy and order is such a welcome relief. One would not wish her ill will in becoming reinvolved on some level in the boys life but something drastic had to be done. I would think long and hard before I released those little boys to Britnsy for any visitation without serious court monitoring and perhaps even police intervention to ensure safety for all concerned. One can only imagine that it will be a LONG time before they are ever allowed to be with her in any sort of unmonitored situation.

112. Has anyone actually read this, Britney created the trust. She named the co-conservators along time ago, You can't say she is too crazy to manage her life and then say she is ok to run the trust... Everyone needs to give her family a break and quit jumping from conclusions. If she was poor and her family stepped in and took over and tried to get her help we would applaud, but since there is money involved, we demonize anyone who trys to help her. So what if she bought her dad a restaurant, and he mom a house. She has more money than she can ever spend, If I had that kind of money I would be doing more for my family and any of you who would not are just selfish. I am not a britney fan, never have been but this girl is sick. Let her family help her and get her the help she desperately needs

115. You Bozo's! It does not mean her brother has access to her finances. It means he will be responsible for the finances she receives. There is also an accountant and lawyer overseeing it all. This is probably the f
first time in 3 years her accounts have been monitored without slime ball Bin Lutfi having access to her purse. We know all there is to know about her finances now but knew nothing (yet) about the 'missing millions' over past year. Look at her now (with family involvement) look at her then (with Bin Lutfi) and make a statement about her well being. Support the latter and you are either a moron, Lutfi's mate, or Lutfi himself.

Britney signed the Declaration of Trustee ~ if for any reason she were to become incapacitated she named her brother, Bryan Spears and Ivan Taback as co-trustees. Get It ~ Bryan was Britney's choice!!

...and for those that don't know, the entire Spears family sacrified a lot to create and promote Britney's career.
The Spears Family went bankrupt paying for BS's dance/singing lessons; trips to New York' California and Florida, etc., etc., etc.

A few years ago Britney was estimated to have a fortune estimated at over 100 million dollars ~ now it's at 40m. Thank goodness a "Good" house cleaning is going on or she's going to end up like Michael Jackson.

Kudoos to the Spears Family ~ I know what a hard and thankless job this is!

Wow, good looking genes certainly run in that Spears family...bro Bryan is a very good looking guy...while females don't do anything for me, you have to admit that Britney and Jamie Lynn are very cute girls. But this brother of theirs....WOWEE!!! Talk about a hottie...wonder if he's married. Anyway good news that Bryan is into this too. I think family is the best for Britney right now with her current mental status not being very good. BTW, heard that Sam Lufti is nowhere to be found...in hiding for some reason, wonder why. Not exactly the actions of a good guy.

118. Seriously, is this family just trying to take her $$ or what? We all know she is still raking in large amounts of $$ monthly and she is worth Billions!!!!!! How much do you think she'll have when all if this is over??

I'm guessing a couple hundred thou and will have to sale her house.

I'm really starting to think she'd be better with K-Fed taking care of her! I think that Sam guy is what caused their divorce!! Maybe if K-Fed came in and helped her and she was with her babies and he kept her out of the spotlight, like he seemed to do when they were married, she'd get healthy and be able to deal with her emotional disabilities! I think Sam did push her to have these mental disabilities. I believe Lynn when she says he did what he did but I don't understand why she didn't do anything to stop it before now!!!

119. #56 what I meant was where is the "stuff" the family is buying with Britney's money? Do we have a photo of them buying expensive automobiles, homes, planes? Attorneys, Doctors, Security is all needed at the moment. Don't be so quick to judge. Again, if it was happening to your sister or daughter, would you let them spiral out of control and not step in?

If you think they are going to be able to rob her blind then maybe you should read a book on estates and trusts. The law takes these matters very seriously.
