38. Poor Mom. A mother has no choice but to feel every wrench and twist of her children's lives, and feel it to her soul. The children don't know at all how much support and power their mother pours into them every day, not until many years later when it's gone. Then they grieve and feel bewildered at how great is the sense of loss and how large is the empty place that they can't fill. Appreciate it now, children, return love for love, and don't yank your mother's heart around too much.

I own it and have read it twice and sent copies to friends.
