111. Jane Fonda has always been vulgar. That's what she wants to do. She talks about her 3 ways, details of her sex life with Ted Turner, etc. and that whole Vietnam debacle. She just doesn't know how or when or why to shut her mouth. She didn't even apologize herself personally probably because she didn't want to. Meredith had to do it for her. Ridiiculous. C'mon, she's on a national TV morning show, and she doesn't have a clue in the whole wide world not to use that word. Yeah, right. She probably flat out refused to apologize, and Meredith Mommy had to do it for her. Where was Jane? Nowhere, that's where. Meredith should have called her on it on air right then and there, but didn't to play nicey nice. Someone needs to say, Hey, you can't talk like that on our show and if Jane or anyone else doesn't like it, they can pick up their butt and leave. So long.

114. Reddesires: Jane Fonda is not now nor ever has been a traitor. She was a young idealistic activist during the Vietnam War. Unfortunately she was misinformed and USED by the North Vietnamese to spread propoganda including the denial of the existance of American POWs. Like many other young people of her generation she thought she was doing something good to try to end that war but she made a horrible mistake for which she apologized. Because she is a famous actress, like many other famous people, she is vilified and many refuse to forgive her mistake. She was lied to and like many other naive activists she spoke out with the very best of intentions and it backfired horribly.
Any intelligent educated person knows all this but there are still sexist hateful jerks out there who lash out at her as if she were to blame for the entire war and the suffering of the soldiers. That's bs and you know it.

120. Oh Plllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase! How can the show invite Jane Fonda to come discuss her performance in the vagina monologues, and not realize that she might call any one of the monologues by name. They should have interviewed her about something benign and unrelated, like her workout video from1980, if they wanted to stay away from the subject of vaginas.
