State Court May Have Lost Britney Jurisdiction

It's the craziest thing we've ever heard, but it's probable the State court has lost jurisdiction in the Britney Spears conservatorship case.

Sources at the L.A. County Superior Court tell TMZ, "It's possible jurisdiction has shifted to the U.S. Federal District Court." How, you ask? Well yesterday, a lawyer filed legal papers in federal court asking a judge to seize control of the conservatorship case on grounds Britney was at great risk in the L.A. County Court system.

The sources say just by filing the paperwork, the federal court probably has obtained jurisdiction. We know that sounds bizarre, but legal experts tell us that is indeed what has happened.

A well-placed source in the L.A. County Court system says even if the federal court has jurisdiction, they believe the conservatorship and all orders are still in effect, but no further orders can be made or modified unless and until a federal judge kicks it back to the state.

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy. Stay tuned.

BTW, Britney looked so happy when the guys in that music video were outside her car. She was crackin up at how ridiculous they were.

18. Seems to me that this is proof that EVERYONE in Brit's life is more worried about her money than her well being. This is turning into a real circus. I can't imagine trying to stay sane in the midst of this insanity.

19. I agree with you Aly. The things mentioned in the order seem to take all of her personal rights away.. Mommy and Daddy may be awarded control of her assets and stuff while she is being treated, but to tell another adult who they can and can't see, The people she choses to suround herself with may be unhealthy and even users but as an adult that her choice,not her parents... or the courts.

24. Okay, I think the person at the LA county courts would be right if the person who filed had the right to do so. As in the case with Mr. Strisand....Britney doesn't have the right to hire her own attorney since Feb 1st......so this to will be void due to that fact. I think her family has her on the right track!!!
