State Court May Have Lost Britney Jurisdiction

It's the craziest thing we've ever heard, but it's probable the State court has lost jurisdiction in the Britney Spears conservatorship case.

Sources at the L.A. County Superior Court tell TMZ, "It's possible jurisdiction has shifted to the U.S. Federal District Court." How, you ask? Well yesterday, a lawyer filed legal papers in federal court asking a judge to seize control of the conservatorship case on grounds Britney was at great risk in the L.A. County Court system.

The sources say just by filing the paperwork, the federal court probably has obtained jurisdiction. We know that sounds bizarre, but legal experts tell us that is indeed what has happened.

A well-placed source in the L.A. County Court system says even if the federal court has jurisdiction, they believe the conservatorship and all orders are still in effect, but no further orders can be made or modified unless and until a federal judge kicks it back to the state.

33. I don't think anything is going to change, even if it went to Federal Court. This is just all so ridiculous and a waste of taxpayer's money. Give up, Lufti---you won't get control no matter what court it's in.

39. I think you will find that the federal court will decide quickly this is a matter for the state courts and not one where there is federal jurisdiction and the federal complaint will be dismissed. Until then the state court orders are still in effect until the court issues orders amending or rescinding the prior court orders. Federal courts typically do not have jurisdiction over civil committment or probate matters which is what this matter is.

Listen, she has been getting her life back on track with the actions her parents have taken..notice we don't have the "crazy" late night shopping trips, the tons of photogs finding her at all hours doing whatever..this has been what she needs right now, when she is better she will have all that back but she let in a worm (Sam "the devil" Lutfi) in and if they give her back everything right now he could come back in her life and destroy her this time even quicker than he was before..he is a creep and needs to be taken out!
