Celebrity Justice
State Court May Have Lost Britney Jurisdiction

It's the craziest thing we've ever heard, but it's probable the State court has lost jurisdiction in the Britney Spears conservatorship case.

Sources at the L.A. County Superior Court tell TMZ, "It's possible jurisdiction has shifted to the U.S. Federal District Court." How, you ask? Well yesterday, a lawyer filed legal papers in federal court asking a judge to seize control of the conservatorship case on grounds Britney was at great risk in the L.A. County Court system.

The sources say just by filing the paperwork, the federal court probably has obtained jurisdiction. We know that sounds bizarre, but legal experts tell us that is indeed what has happened.

A well-placed source in the L.A. County Court system says even if the federal court has jurisdiction, they believe the conservatorship and all orders are still in effect, but no further orders can be made or modified unless and until a federal judge kicks it back to the state.

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy. Stay tuned.

91. People don't you get it....there's a certain mafia whose after Britney's money? An innocent and psychologically-vulnerable young woman and mother (who has lost her children) connected with a very corrupt man, Lutfi, et al., who were attempting to take-over her entire life and fortune (just like the woman who died one year ago and whose son died 1-1/2 years ago). This mafia has infiltrated our entire legal system from lawyers to judges, field of psychiatry, entertainment industry, et al.

Nobody is looking out after Britney's greatest interest except her parents right now....don't judge any of them but pray for Britney, her children, and her parents from this point forward!

92. Quote: It is unclear on whose behalf Eardley is acting. We're told Sam Lutfi and his spokesman, Michael Sands, have something to do with the filing, though the exact nature of their involvement is unclear. Unquote.

Let’s just see how long their 15 minutes of “shame” will last. The court of public opinion will kill them.

Like they really care about Brit, and now, Pa and bro are not going to be happy.

94. Only this idiot of her caliber could make things this monumentally STUPID! One thing is for sure, she is the World's BIGGEST Drama Queen! But since this is being taken to a national stage now, I suspect she will soon get back to her normal schedule of meltdowns. But I am pissed about being a non-Cali taxpayer who knows that everyone else is now paying for her stupidity! So if we are now all going to be forced to pay for her actions, I demand her to put on a good show of freaking out again! She is sure to not let us down in this area! Too bad for her not trying this for her kids. Boo hoo. It just shows he priorities. So, as a tax payer, give us a spectacle of what a World Class Idiot you can be! And make it good!

96. I thought whoever filed the papers had to have some sort of standing (interest, part in) in the case. For example, I couldn't be heard by a court in a case involving someone I had no delaings with. Who filed these papers and what do they have to do with ther or her case. This doesn't sound right at all.

97. 46. Even if the federal courts get jurisdiction, this could blow up in DIRTY SAMCHEZ's face. He is ducking being served. The federal court isn't going to take that one lightly. At some point, the court will get fed up with his constant meddling and possibly hold him in contempt. Let his A$$ sit in a jail cell for a lil while so the real people can take care of Britney. She is doing better. Sure she may not be able to freely go out and kill herself. But, in the end, she will end up living instead of being another dead celebrity at the hands of a psychopath.

You are so right BMan, this is hilarious. Lutfi and Adnan are on hot coals now and they didn't even see it coming. :-) Oh boy, watch the Feds move on those two now that he involved them. They better wave goodbye and hitch up their britches, the party's gonna get rough for them and they were too stupid to know what would happen.

99. This is really absurd on so many levels. This is not filed based on civil rights, they got it in with an FDA loophole and it makes me crazy that ANYONE can just file on this and get involved. I seriously question the motives, we all know it was Sam/Sands. I think Sam should shut up, take his restraining order, put his wounded ego away and back off. More money more crap for the family to deal with, most importantly more confusion for Britney Spears.

100. Of course that was back in the 60's when singing a song about farting was about as scandalous as things got :)

101. Just another perfect example of how very impaired Britney's decision making may be. The only people benefiting from her actions are the lawyers, IMO. I hope someone is fighting for the long term financial securit of her boys. It may be that at the rate she is wasting money on expensive lawyers and court expenses, there will be little money left for her children.

102. Come on Harvey Levin . You should know better. Jurisdiction isn't created in Federal Court just by filing a claim. I guess since you started this trash web site you have forgotten anything you learned in law school.

103. Is anyone not at great risk, in the L.A. County Court system?

It is not Brit wasting money on lawyers, she ish't even allowed to talk to one. It is her dad, he's employed no less than 5 lawyers this week. i hope the court tells him he has to start paying out of his own pockets for his lawyers...it is so wrong that brit has to pay for his greedy dealings.
