10. People can make mistakes and learn from them. Abortion being one of them. She made an uneducated decision at 19 years old. She now knows it was wrong. Give her a break. And besides, she looks AMAZING for 86 years old. Go Jane! Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is my all time favorite movie. Monroe is just simply gorgeous! And so is Russell.

11. In the matter of pro-choice versus anti-choice, none of us have the answers. But it would be wonderful if our society had much stronger support systems for unwanted children. There are so many children out there who were unwanted and are unloved, suffer terrible abuses, and slip through the system; it's just heart-breaking. Sadly, our society seems to be more "anti-choice" than "pro-life."

13. I regret the many abortions I had, but having no idea who the father would be was troubling to me.

14. First of all, I don’t sit in judgment on pro-choice and anti-choice advocates. But I can’t help but ponder this: Had Ms. Russell not aborted that pregnancy, given the social stigma of having a child out of wedlock decades ago and the subsequent demands on her personal life, would she have become the “Jane Russell” we know today? And would we be commenting on “how wonderful she looks for 86”? Would she be writing a biography of her life as Jane Russell? I don’t think so.

15. All the pro-life group I've ever heard of are anti-choice, so I agree that they are basically the same thing.

I wonder where Jane Russell's career would have faired, had she been an unwed teen mom in the 1940s.
