16. First of all, I don’t sit in judgment on pro-choice and anti-choice advocates. But I can’t help but ponder this: Had Ms. Russell not aborted that pregnancy, given the social stigma of having a child out of wedlock decades ago and the subsequent demands on her personal life, would she have become the “Jane Russell” we know today? And would we be commenting on “how wonderful she looks for 86”? Would she be writing a biography of her life as Jane Russell? I don’t think so.

17. Pro-life is a misnomer. That makes it sound like everyone else is "pro-death." The question isn't whether you want ALL fetuses to live or die. It's whether you want someone to have the choice to end or continue a particular pregnancy. Anti-choice people say "pro-life" in order to push people's buttons. To inject an element of DEATH into the equation. You know, the antithesis of "life." Call it what it is; it's about a choice. And no, it's not something I would ever do, because it's a choice between life and death for a little baby. I couldn't do it. But maybe other people don't see it that way. I can't judge them.

18. I agree totally. An unwed mother in the 40's? She would not be who she is today had she kept it. YEs, it's wrong, in my opinion, but in those days, there wasn't much choice.

20. Way to go Cat!!! I agree. Lets save the thousands and thousands of children who are abused, abandoned and lost in the system. There is a METH epidemic and if these children are not already taken away from the parents then they are getting abused at home. There is lots to do. No one ever puts bumper stickers on their car defending these children! Allow God to do the judging and instead do what you can for the children who are breathing.

It would help to not bitch about pennies we pay in taxes to support young mothers who need to get financial assistance or help create more programs that help these children go to college. While we are at it, we should insure every child under 18 years old. But most of you would vote against helping (as jesus would do) the poor.

22. There are a few things that separate The Human Animal from other Animals, and that is the ability to CHOOSE rather we want to bring another life into our lives and world unlike dogs, monkeys, cows, chickens, pigs, right wing xtians and the likes are not able to do because MAN controls what these Animals can reproduce if they CHOOSE!! If you want to reproduce like those other ANIMALS, so be it, BUT Intelligent Human Beings will alway knows they can make a CHOICE rather not to do so!

23. Prolife - Prochoice...whatever is your preference, the fact is that 60% of all pregnancies are unplanned! All too often the children who are the result, are abused, neglected and grow up in the "school of Hard Knocks". In my opinion we ought to do something BEFORE there has to be a CHOICE...before there is a pregnancy at all. Our current president has poured BILLIONS of dollars into abstinence ONLY education programs that don't teach young people how to protect themselves from not only unplanned pregnancies, but also from sexually transmitted infections ( It is George W's version of Nancy Regan's "Just Say No to Drugs"! ) Lets get real here...people (especially young people) are not going to just say "no" to sex. Why not provide not only comprehensive sex education, but also provide easier/cheeper access to contraception! With fewer unplanned pregnancies there will be fewer abortions, fewer clinics (that you all like to march in front of!) AND THEN... you guys won't have to fight about LIFE or CHOICE.

BTW....Have you talked to your kid about SEX yet? If you haven't....the movies, television, music, video games already have! Teach, don't lecture. Sexuality is a part of LIFE!!!

24. You don't have to support abortion to be pro-choice. You can choose not to get pregnant. You can choose to give a child up for adoption. I know it may seem shocking, but it's actually pretty easy to not get pregnant.

25. TMZ is pathetic. Let's show a pic of the 50-something year old Harvey Levin before putting on his make up!

28. yeah she looks ok now, and good on her for still putting one foot in front of the other and all, but maybe she should skip the red lippy.

I actually prefer her 'now' look to her 'then' look. The old photo looks like she should have a couple of jail tatts on her arms, a ciggy stubb dangling from her lips, and either be Amy Winehouse's butch gal pal or hanging out with (British multiple child murderer) Myra Hindley.

29. As long as there has been sex, there have been desperate women who will use all kinds of dangerous means to try to end an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy.....abortion has always existed, but at least now it is medically safe and legal. I also find it hypocritical that women like Ms. Russell choose abortions for themselves, then later want to deny all other women the right to make the very same choice. If Ms Russell regrets her decision now, that's unfortunate, but she made what she felt was the right decision for herself, and she should allow others to do the same. And yes, as others have mentioned, it always seems to be the so-called Pro-Lifers who vote against any and all legislation designed to make life better for young children and the poor; they are pro-birth, not pro-life.

30. All I know is that every woman I've ever known who had an abortion has sadly come to seriously regret having had it.
Many were pro-choice back in women's lib day, but now I believe it should be more pro-information. If they banned it, young gals would go again to back street butchers, and so banning it is not the solution, but loads of seriously complete information should be required to be given to women well prior to the procedure.
