Gentlemen Prefer Grays

The buxom 86-year-old resurfaced at a religious award show in Beverly Hills this week, looking perky.
Jane Russell
Russell revealed in her autobiography that she had an abortion at 19. She's now strongly anti-choice.

The devout Christian and former Cross Your Heart bra spokesperson has had three husbands, and suffers from macular degeneration and hearing loss.

46. Correction. Jane Russell is not a devout christian. Devout christians do not have abortions. She killed her baby, but now that she no longer needs an abortion, she's anti-abortion.Hypocrite. Delusional.

47. This isn't a board to discuss abortion. Go to some political blog if you want to bitch and moan. But then again that is why TMZ had to bring it up, just to get everyone all riled up over something off topic as usual. She looks awesome for 86 years old. Sunglasses do not prevent macular degeneration by the way. The full name is Age-Related Macular Degeneration--nasty disease where age beats up your retinas. If you live long enough you will get something, huh?

49. She's still a beauty. Women age so much better when they don't have all that awful plastic surgery and botox on their faces!

50. Just because she made a mistake way back when, does not give her the
right to try and take this right away from others who go through this
and need this as an option. Times have changed, and birth control is
better. In her day, if you bedded your director, well, whoops, you
are pregnant... and don't wanna look like a woman sleeping her way
into the roles.. NOW, there are many birth control options out
there.

53. Quit whining about abortion. Go to some N.O.W. board or whatever and defend or argue abortion if you must. This is about Jane Russell. TMZ just had to include that just to get everyone all riled up about something off-topic as usual. I can't believe she had a safe one, though, considering this was almost 70 yrs ago. Yikes. She looks awesome for her age. FYI: sunglasses do not prevent macular degeneration. Full name: Age-Related Macular Degeneration, a nasty disease that beats up the retinaes as you get old making you lose your central vision. Not saying you shouldn't wear sunglasses, but that is not what will save you from the disease. Runs in families 25% of the time, too. People should focus on the fact she is out and about and not letting a blinding condition control her life.

54. To Whatafreak, comment #1: No, I think what it means is she's anti-choice. We all have the right to frame our opinions however we wish.

55. Why does this keep skipping page 2 comments. I keep getting 1-15, then 31 on....Too many people posting and they can't keep up?

56. Technically being "pro-life" is anti choice because you don't even want women to have the option to abort, therefore, you are against them making that choice.

57. She's still alive and looks pretty good

59. She looks great to be 86! She's one of the most gorgeous actresses of her time and is a true American legend. I love her in the movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes." She represented a positive image and showcased that a woman's curves are a great thing. If only we could go back to those days!
