Now THIS is a real movie star, not like those nauseating brats such as Hilton, Spears, Lohan, and Richie who think they are stars but are nothin g like the real thing. Russell is the living ideal and personification of true Hollywood glamor who could sing, act and dance better than any of today's narcissisgtic wannabees. Russell was breathtakingly beautiful more than 60 years ago in movies like "The Paleface," , 55 years ago she looked more sexy than her costar Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and even 40 years ago she was still hot stuff performing in Las Vegas. Now, almost 90 Russell still exudes the phenomenal talent of her youth. And she she still has the goods to prove it. What a stunning looking woman!

Tell me why PETA is such a cause celeb, but the minute you're pro-life Hollywood mocks you? So it's okay to be anti killing animals but not children?

I think Hillary Clinton should get down on her fat knees and kiss the ground that Jane Russell walks on. Russell braved childhood sexual abuse, and political and religious discrimination and the advances of horny old movie producers like Howard Hughes who tried to rape her, and Bob Hope who wanted to sleep with her. She has devoted her life to charity, adopting orphaned children from third world countires fifty years before Anjelie Jolie did, and she did it without any publicity!

Russell was also pioneer in women's lib, fighting for respect from
prejudiced and bigoted men, She has earned a unique place in history as one
of the biggest most beautiful stars in the world of entertainment, and she is a champion of
women's rights and free speech. Clinton should be ashamed of herself. Russell should be the next US president.

it's true what Russell did all these things and she had a very unhappy life but there was never any scandal. she was and still is a classy lady, with more style and grace thsn any of these spoiled rich bitches- and that includes Rodham Clinton the fat cow!

First of all, I don’t sit in judgment on pro-choice and anti-choice advocates. But I can’t help but ponder this: Had Ms. Russell not aborted that pregnancy, given the social stigma of having a child out of wedlock decades ago and the subsequent demands on her personal life, would she have become the “Jane Russell” we know today? And would we be commenting on “how wonderful she looks for 86”? Would she be writing a biography of her life as Jane Russell? I don’t think so.

Area 51

It's pretty amusing that people on each side of the abortion issue are battling it out in a forum like TMZ...serious social commentary one moment, Britney the next. Still, it's amazing that an old bag like Jane could ignite such passion of a different sort.

I loved Jane Russell in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She had the best lines and really outshone Marilyn Monroe in that movie, if you watch closely. While I may not agree with her views, she is still stunning and a wonderful,c aring person. Go Jane!

Duhhh, the reason that Jane Ruseell is pro life is because she had an illegal abortion at age 19. She had no choice back then and thats why she is pro choice you ignorant people.

It's a shame that all of the 'pro-choice' folks weren't aborted to begin with.
