Lutfi Drug Probe -- Full Steam Ahead

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD investigation into Sam Lutfi allegedly drugging Britney Spears is well underway.

We're told the case has now been assigned to Robbery Homicide, primarily because of the sensitive nature of the allegations and the intense media interest in Britney Spears. Sources say investigators have interviewed several witnesses regarding the drugs in Brit's system at the time she was most recently committed.

We're told the investigation had been temporarily derailed because of the death of an LAPD SWAT officer, but it's now back on track.

One source says the investigation will probably be concluded in late March.

71. The DIFFERENCE IS SAM IS NOT A DOCTOR OR ANY KIND OF HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONER. He is not Brit's legal guardian or parent, he had no right to drug her even if he WAS trying to help (he wasn't). Stop being an idiot. He had no right to drug her like that and if Brit's psychiatrist knew Sam was doing that he should lose his license!

72. All the other media outlets are now reporting that there is no such investigation and the LAPD have gone on the record that SAM IS NOT BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE LAPD FOR ANYTHING.

Britney is a drug addict and has been for a very long time-long long before Sam came into the picture.Sam wasn't around when Britney went to rehab last year or when she got out and continued her drug seeking behavior. He wasn't around when she shaved her head. He wasn't around when she was hitting cars with an umbrella with a ferocious look on her face. He wasn't around when she was slutting around with Paris and Lindsey (both of who ended up in jail and/or rehab). He wasn't around when she whored around with no panties on. He wasn't around when her former bodyguard testified in court that he has personally seen her take drugs. sam was only giving her the meds the dr's prescribed to her because she wouldn't take them and he was trying to help her. they were legally prescribed meds. so there is no crime in giving someone meds prescribed by the dr. It's not unusual for people who are bipolar, psychotic, schizophrenic or whatever not to want to take their meds & they have to be tricked into taking their meds or have their meds snuck into their food or drink. It's for their own protection and for the protection of the general public. The gunman in Illinois quit taking his meds & look what happenend. Why do some of you people (including Britney's parents) always try to find someone else to blame for Britney's bad behavior . Britney is the only one to blame. Quit enabling her and making excuses for her. She needs to be responsible for her own behavior. She looks like a zombie right now, in a trance or something.

74. Sam Lutfi thinks if Howard K. Stern got away with this, he can do the same. He has no business interfering in this family trying to get help for their daughter. Who does this jerk think he is? He's only known her for a short time & just moved into her house & took over her life. I remember seeing the pictures of her outside her home crying because he wouldn't let her in & she had to hitch a ride with a paparazzi. Lock this no good up & throw away the key.
