Brad & Angie to Pax: You're Officially One of Us!

TMZ has learned Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have officially adopted little Pax Thien.

We've learned they went to L.A. County Children's Court in Monterey Park, Calif. yesterday and appeared before a judge who finalized Pax's adoption.

The adoption was a two-step process. First, the adoption had to be approved in Vietnam, where Pax was born. The second step was getting an L.A. judge to approve the adoption -- that was done yesterday.

A rep for Angie tells us the Jolie-Pitts were literally celebrating at the courthouse. Mama Jolie walked out with a teddy bear -- a private foundation gives a stuff animal to every family that goes to Children's Court.

Hey Pax -- you're officially one of the luckiest young'uns alive!

18. Good for them. I applaud anyone that can give a child a good home and Brad and Angie really seem to be doing that. And don't start dogging about "What about Shiloh..." I'm sure she's just as loved as the rest of the kids. One more thing-TMZ posted an article and pics yesterday about the family going skiing, but said that Shiloh was left behind or whatever-if they would've logged onto People.com they would've seen pics of the WHOLE FAMILY together. Jeesh, people will do anything to make people try to look bad. Instead of constantly dogging this family, worry about certain other "mothers and fathers" who are putting their children in worse positions that the Jolie-Pitts.

23. Geez, all these stories and photo ops coinciding with awards season while they've both been snubbed for Oscar noms. Angelina's desperate for attention again. We get it, you're one big happy family. We're still not going to see your movies.

24. Hey TMZ.......has anyone pointed out that you were full of sheeat on your "everybody but Shiloh on the ski slopes" story? Turns out it was a boys day out on the slopes. Angie, Zahara and Shiloh were not there. Apparently you just stuck some arrows on some bundled up people and pronounced them to be Angie and Zahara. If you can't report honestly, apparently there's nothing much negative to report. Shame.

25. I ADMIRE THEM!!! IT IS NOT SO EASY TO BE PARENTS TO SEVERAL KIDS AND THEY DO IT IN THE BEST WAY!!!!!! LOVE THEM!!! WISH MOST OF THE SELEBRETIES WERE LIKE THEM, SPENDING MONEY FOR GOOD THINGS.

26. I am not a big fan of hers, and I do think she has some mental health issues. I hope she is seeking help for them for the sake of the children (or has seeked help). Anyway , I'm happy for them if their hearts are sincere with Pax. Also, we all have been blaming her for his break-up with Jen , but the truth is that it's his fault too. She did not force him to leave his wife. Also, I don't think he's as kind and easy going as he seems . There something about the way he was acting on TMZ tv the other night that makes me think that he's a bit of an a$$ and a control freak as well.He may even be a woman beater (not with Ang of course she'd kick his a$$) , but look at the old videos of the way he handled Jen . This just my observation- well theory anyway.

27. i really am not a fan of hers at all. i wish they would adopt here at home first. but whatever. That kid..i hope he realizes one day how very very lucky he is. He had NOTHING, and now he will be given everything! I hope none of them turns out to be a little paris hilton type that is spoiled rotten. I hope they grow up and are good kids that do positive things....
