Gene Simmons to Sex Site: Suck My Copyright!

Gene Simmons' legal team has taken an ingenious first step in shutting down a website featuring a video that shows Gene in a sex act with a woman who is not his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Tweed.

We're told Gene's lawyers contacted Webmastercentral.com, which is responsible for the content on the website promoting the video -- ordering them to cease and desist because of copyright infringement. How, you ask, is this copyright infringement? Gene's lawyers claim the site had no right to use face paint to promote the skin flick, because face paint is a KISS thing.

And now we're being told, the tape is old and the copyright owner is ... drum roll ... Gene Simmons! Apparently, Gene got wind of the tape a few years back and bought the rights. Who's the apprentice now?

BTW, the tape was shot without Simmons' permission or knowledge -- and may well be illegal. That's why TMZ hasn't run it.

64. I am so disapointed. What a liar! I've allowed my family to watch his show and I feel betrayed. I would'be been willing to stand up for him if ever accused of something that actually involved intercourse wtih someone besides Shannon. Flirting and carrying on, even a BJ I would excuse, but this is over the top gross and parking lot truckstop realm. I wont be able to watch his show with his two kids and Shannon now. Even hearing his cute Jewish mom on his show I wont be able to do knowing what he's done behind all their backs. They are so normal and real and DID NOT deserve this. Shame on Gene Simmons. This would have to be the most expensive screw you've ever had in your life. This will hit you hard in the pocket book my friend.

67. I saw this supposed sex tape, and it's the lamest---pun intended---tape I have ever seen. The tape of Joey Butt had more action! if I were Gene Simmons, I would have paid big bucks NOT to have this poor man's porn ever released. Even I was embarrassed for Gene and this doped up chick. 73. This may sound cruel, but what difference does it make if Gene sleeps around? He and Shannon aren't husband and wife; JUST BOYFRIEND AND GIRLFRIEND. The ones I feel sorry for are their kids. Is this the kind of example Gene should have for his son and daughter? They seem like great kids with great heads on their shoulders. You both seem to have AT LEAST ONE GOOD PARENT--your mom.
