Oh Mickey, You Were So Fine

The 64-year-old resurfaced at a party for Bette Midler's new show (which Toni choreographed) in Vegas on Thursday, looking miraculous.
Toni Basil
Basil was 39 when she donned her old Las Vegas High School cheerleader's uniform for the "Mickey" video.
Gwen Stefani essentially remade Toni's "Mickey" video with her 2005 video for "Hollaback Girl."

64. KF - You're high. Toni is a complete doll of a woman. Very kind and generous. She's also flawless. She looks amazing. She's a health nut. It's funny that whenever somebody looks great for their age, people are quick to point fingers and make hurtful suggestions like, "Oh, she's had work done...."
Whatever happened to HEALTHY LIVING???? Some people do it, you know.

67. Definately had work done but who cares? If you had a name that kept people watching you, waiting for an opportunity to say how old you looked wouldn't you do the same? I cut celebs more slack than us everyday people. It's ridiculous for a middle class woman to take out a second mortgage to have her face done. I would never consider it, too many other things I could do with the cash. But if I had the money and was in the limelight I'd do it in a minute.

74. What memories. Great to see her. As a Phi Delt in the 80's I used to walk on Greek row alot. The Kappa Deltas and the Thetas used to sing that song to me. Mickey into Mikey. TOO FUNNY and that song still makes me smile.

75. Toni is an inspiration. I followed Toni since she was in the group "The Lockers". She is a pure dancer. She looks young because she is physically young. I know this because I have been dancing with her in a studio. Her work ethic is the fountain of youth. Most people grow old because they give in to physical limitations. Toni is driven to do challenging choreography from others to keep herself sharp by dancing. Dancing can keep both the mind and body sharp by learning to adjust to limitations not give in to them. Toni has found the fountain of youth through keeping her mind and body strong by dancing. She says it all the time. I NEED TO DANCE. It keeps your mind and body strong. I hope people would take the positive view of others and she their strengths instead of looking for negativity to make themselves feel better.

She knows the formula for the fountain of youth. She is an amazing dancer and I hope to learn her work ethic.
