36. Rourke is now in his 50s. He does not have to look 25 or 35 years old. This man is a truely remarkable actor. Anyone who saw Rourke play a transexual in the prison movie "Animal Factory" can only be in absolute awe of his talent. And by the way he is still beautiful in the way that real people are beautiful as opposed to the vacuous Hollywood pretty boy image.

you know he was a boxer, and also in a gang, right?

i don't know if this is true or not, but i've heard, from people that know him, that to get out of a certain gang you gotta take a few beatings (not to mention the boxing).

i personally think the got his face cut up and slowly tried to fix it. actually if you look at it now and look at it during say, "once upon a time in mexico" you will notice that it has improved for the better.

so really, don't criticize the guy. whatever happened, wasn't out of vanity.

40. I think it's sad. No one has surgery to look worse. Can you imagine having to live the rest of you life like that! I bet he battles a lot of depression and everywhere he looks and goes he gets comments. I mean its been years since this surgery mess and still people act like its only yesterday. I don't think its very nice the way society won't cut him any slack. I mean move on people. He's the one who has to live this way the rest of his life, the taunting could stop. I mean look at Britney spears, now there's a mess that just don't stop
