Diablo Cody Will Be a Whore for No One

Oscar winning screenwriter Diablo Cody will not pimp out a product-- not even if that product are diamond crusted million dollar shoes from Stuart Weitzman!

As we reported this weekend, Cody agreed to waltz down the red carpet in the pricey kicks. What she didn't agree to was having her name used as a publicity stunt for the shoe company -- as if! She honest to blogged about the whole thing and, true to her word, rocked a pair of gold flats at last night's event.

At a press conference last night Diablo said, "If I had a million dollars I would help people."

Suck it Stuart!

4. Atta girl. They SHOULD have asked to use your name. You may be new to Hollywood, but you weren't born yesterday. Next time they'll ask-and nicely, too!

Look at this other oscar coverage: http://stickmansteve.com/index.php/2008/02/25/oscar-poll-most-of-you-planned-on-watching-the-oscars/

8. In a way I'm sort pea green with envy, that stripping led her to be an Oscar winner. On the other hand, I'm sort of in the middle of how she "refused" to wear million dollar shoes, and doesn't fall victim to the glitz and glamour.

I just don't know what to think of her. ALL i know is that today she's waking up (or never going to sleep) part of that elite group, "an Oscar winner"...

9. For one, the shoes are UGLY. For two, it's ridiculous for those things to be worth a million bucks. Atta girl Diablo! You tell 'em!

11. Well the woman has integrity, nothing wrong with that. I haven't watched the Oscars in years. I stopped watching when Michael Moore and Adrian Brody decided to rant and rave about the war in Iraq instead of just graciously accepting their trophy and leaving their polical word vomit to interviews and other outlets. I am so sick of people using the Oscars as a political forum. The Oscars are supposed to be a night of glamour and a celebration of cinema but occasionally celebrities use it to make some kind of statement.

12. WRONG AGAIN TMZ.....Marion Cotillard's mermaid gown got rave reviews from fashion critics. You guys should probably just stick to your usual classelss hounding the mentally ill and relatives deceased stars and leave fashion "articles" to those who actually have some class.

15. Why would a screenwriter make up a name like Diablo Cody ? You would think somebody with "intergrity" brains and talent would not need to go that low. Her name is probably Mary Brown.
