Spears' Lawyers Say Brit Ain't No Cash Register

TMZ has obtained documents filed today in Federal court in the Britney Spears conservatorship case and her lawyers have made it clear -- Brit's not the Bank of America.

Jamie Spears' lawyers claim attorney Jon Eardley, who filed the motion to remove the case to Federal court, has triggered a flurry of legal moves that have already cost Brit more than $40 grand.

For his part, attorney Jon Eardley claims he was retained by Britney on February 12 and has spoken with her on several occasions. He says the last time she attempted to call him, "the telephone was taken away from her, and the number was disconnected the next day."

Eardley says Brit has "never been and is not now on comfortable terms with her live-in father conservator" and claims that he is "concerned for the emotional and physical safety of Britney."

66. Any attorney who would try to get brtiney's case moved to federal court when there are absolutely no grounds for a federal trial is totally incompetant. Eardley has already racked up a 40k bill trying to do get a federal trial when any attorney would know it's not gonna happen. Eardly is bad for britney. He needs to go.

I hope that the federal court decides that this is not a federal issue and remands it back to the state court.

It seems that Eardley is trying to get it in through FDA issues, but Jamie Spears was NOT granted conservatorship over his daughter’s medical decisions or treatment. Britney is still in control of this, and it’s the only reason why she has not been committed to a mental hospital. Jamie Spears does not control her medications either, other than encouraging her to take what medications have been prescribed for her.

I don’t understand how Eardley got this wrong. He should have read TMZ, instead of listening to Sam Lutfi. I read it here when the temporary conservatorship was first put into place.

The last thing I’d like to say is what is Sam Lutfi’s interest in this? He’s not a family member. He’s not a romantic interest. He’s not a personal manager. He seems to be just a flacky.

70. TMZ can you fill in the gaps please.

Originally they were going to rule on the 29th. Then the dictrict hudge looked into it and I thought the fed judge was meant to rule today - ie eardley had til fri, conservators had til today to reply - and the judge was meant to rule today. So what's the next step??? I know there's no hearing but you would think that a result were issues - like will he get more time, are they overruling....?
Since nothing else is going to happen til the 10th anyway I guess that gives you a few days to find out!

Eardley says, although she's not allowed to get counsel she had to because she is being kept a prisoner.

Conservators say, prove she even hired you!

74. Well this is the first time daddy has admitted that brit is footing the bill. So he is not paying a dime for all these court case. Another thing if she is so imcompetent why is she allowed to teach children how to dance. Daddy is getting way to much credit when he is not doing anything but getting his share of Brit's money
