Heidi to Ellen: Gotta Love Them Balls!

Heidi Klum just loves herself some big, tasty balls. Ellen -- not so much!

The two went nuts over the topic while taping today's "Ellen." Heidi, an amatuer ball-handler, even insisted she doesn't care if they're big or small, she's equal opportunity ball-lover.

Ellen's reactions are a sight to, er, behold.

46. YankeesRule, Don't like Ellen much. I find her voice irritating. What I know about Heidi I like but I don't really know much about her either except that she seems to be really in love with her husband and that's always a good thing.

********SPOILER WARNING, STOP READING UNLESS YOU LIKE BASEBALL********

I apologize to the rest of the people here for hijacking the thread for a baseball discussion but I cannot ignore a direct challenge to my team loyalty.

Sports is always a "what have you done for me lately" game. The Sox have taken 2 championships in 4 years, the Yankees haven't made it past the ALDS since we whipped your asses in 2004, coming back from a 3-0 deficit to win 8 straight games which had never been done in baseball before. Did it with 7 straight in 2007. At this rate, we'll catch up to you in no time.
As far as Mitchell report, yeah, right, I'm not surprised a Yankees fan tries to pull that stupidity out of the hat. Do you honestly think Mitchell was stupid enough to put something fake in front of the US Senate. That would border on perjury. Just like Roger Clemens.
And when you have as many good rookies and Gold Glove veterans as we have, then we'll talk. Or are you forgetting Kevin Youkilis, Dustin Pedroia, Mike Lowell, Jacoby Ellsbury, Josh Beckett, Curt Schilling (okay so he's injured and probably won't pitch much this season), Tim Wakefield (the premiere knuckleballer in MLB), Jon Papelbon, Manny Ramirez (he acts flaky but check out his stats), David Ortiz, Jason Varitek, Hideki Okajima and Mike Timlin among many others.

In case you hadn't noticed, Santana went to the Mets. We didn't want him either. In fact we pulled out of that race even before you did. We had no intention of dealing away our good young prospects like Ellsbury who I mentioned above, Jon Lester, Clay Bucholz (who pitched a no-hitter in his very first major league game. How many Yankees can you say that about) among others.

I'm not denying you have some good players. ARod won the MVP for good reason. He had a career season last year. Jeter is a very good shortstop. Jorge Posada is one of the best catchers around, Matsui and Abreu are good but Damon can't throw worth a hill of beans. Rivera's still a good closer, Chamberlain has some serious prospects I would expect good things from him in the future, Wang started to lose it near the end of the season, Mussina is iffy at best, etc.

49. I read about Heidi explaining her first meeting Seal and how she was the one to approach him. She explained that he was wearing some skin tight (bike riding type) pants and "you could see his whole package!" The glee in her eyes and utter joy on her face when she emphasized the "package," Oh Baby! Gotta love the girls honesty! She's nasty but in an oh so cute way!

50. Hey Baseball Junkie... As I expected, and almost like a politician... your debate was WEAK!!!! You avoided every topic. Unlike my rebuttal, which definitively cross examined each and every trite point you had, as I answered all of your absurd arguments. You just basically replied with your team roster. Try just once to "put me in my place" by backing up your ridiculous points. So, I'll be waiting for quite some time, because you can't. You should change your screen name because you know nothing about baseball.

And know this... Your band wagon ride is over. I'll talk to you again in October, and we'll see who gets the last laugh. :) And that goes for you TOO Kelli! HaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ellen RULES, to stay on the topic!

60. I loved the SNL “Schweaty balls sketch” myself but I was the only one in my family who did. Opinions differ.
YankeesRule:
So we disagree about Ellen, big deal. I still don't see why you started this long argument because you disliked my standard sign-off. Seems to me that you're the one with the inferiority complex if you have to stoop so low for a reason to comment. This isn't the first time you've done this but it was just as ridiculous that time too. As far as October, Yeah, we'll see who's laughing best.

********SPOILER WARNING, MORE BASEBALL CHAT********
Which points did I fail to address? Your dig about the Boston accent? I didn't see any point in stooping that low. I pointed out your errors on the Santana deal, your errors in your argument about the Mitchell report (BTW, I think the other teams would object to your calling their players, nobodies. Brian Roberts comes to mind for example). I dealt with your insistence that you have a better team by comparing the players, perhaps not head-to-head but I didn't think the rest of the site needed that. I countered your argument about the number of World Series you have won very simply. The distant past is far less important than the recent past and present. Yes, our payroll is high but our team is producing, the Yankees payroll is higher but the production? Not so much lately. Matsuzaka is expensive but he's young.
No, you did not answer my every point, merely the ones you thought you could win on. For example, you ignored my statement that Steinbrenner was an idiot for firing Joe Torre. You might note we've had the sense to extend Tito's contract and increase his salary. You ignored my comment that “Yankees suck” is a cheer throughout the MLB but I didn't think that needed a response so I didn't worry about the lack.
If you call my response politic, well I don't see any point in becoming angry and nasty about it. This is baseball. It's my drug of choice but that doesn't make it the most important thing in the world.
