230. I'm a nurse. Where I'm from, if you get a DUI... you no longer have a nursing license. If that's the case where she lives... that's the biggest part of the "story"

236. Sorry folks, but unless they change the name of the show from 'American Idol' to something less significant, then
anyone who may or may not have talent, should not be representing America as an 'Idol', with such a record
as this gal.

Secondly, since when is drinking and driving just a 'mistake'??? IT IS A DEADLY CHOICE TO GET BEHIND
A WHEEL AND DRIVE DRUNK. According to public records, she also has a history of reckless driving, speeding (over a 100 mph), etc.

At her age, she has not been a nurse very long...maybe a year; two at the most? HOPEFULLY, SHE WON'T BE ONE FOR LONG! She visits homes and teaches people...not much. I've also noticed, many women who are CNA's, Medical Assistants, or LPN's with one year of training, all love to use the vague phrase of "I'm a nurse". So what is she really? Not an RN, I'm sure, or she would have stated so.

And no, nurses are not perfect, and are just as human as the next person, but most really good nurses, see the damage and death involved to others because of drunk drivers...especially ER nurses, and they know better then to become perpetraters to same. A good RN, is more responsible. I'm sick and tired of really bad nurses like Darva Conger, as well as this girl representing nurses in America so poorly. Most nurses are more responsible....but we do have a few losers too....unfortunately.

Furthermore, if she loved nursing, she would not be seeking stardom. I doubt she will go beyond some freak rock band one day, because, though she can sing, her sound is all the same for all songs....and with a very gravel sounding voice....not too impressive.

Until you have wrapped enough victims in body bags from drunk drivers, or you lose a loved one from a drunk driver, then many of you will have more room to talk.

I also heard her saying that she loved intellectual pursuits (paraphrasing here). Has she not learned, that drinking and
driving is not an intellectual pursuit?

I do wish her well in any case, and hope she does not have a drinking problem...for her sake, and if she does, may she seek the help she needs.

She needs to stop trying to personify herself as a hard-ass, which she is not.
