32. Re post #24 you are sorely mistaken. A first-time DUI isn't a felony in any state that I'm aware of.

33. Who cares.... I am sure the producers already know about it.

35. All you guys are ignorant......

DUI's are NOT Felonies in any state.........they are all misdemeanors............there are some mitigating circumstances that could change that like 15th one or kiling somebody while driving drunk and being an ass about it like driving off and committing multiple other infractions. But in 99% of DUI's they are misdeameanors.

39. Whoops - her hometown is actually Mulberry, IN. Not Crawfordsville. They are actually about 25 miles apart.

Might want to get your towns straight, TMZ.

40. I adoe this young lady -- I think she's refreshing and I love the bluesy rock quality of her voice. There are two distinct types of classic rock vocals -- the Operatic Rock singers (Gramm, Perry, Heart's Ann Wilson, Walsh of Kansas, Mercury) and the Bluesy Rock vocalists (Raitt, Fogerty, etc.) -- Amanda is naturally suited to the latter, not the former, so yes it was a bad choice.

I agree that this "news" is old news and completely irrelevant. Shame on you TMZ for trying to besmirch this talented lady!

41. Here you go again, TMZ - this is just SMARMY!

'Breaking News'?! There's nothing 'breaking' here but more of your credibility.

42. I still think she has a problem with drugs and/or alchohol. Last night she looked like at any given minute she was gonna drop to the ground. Her eyes were very bugged, her pitch was everywhere, she was on something. Her song was just horrible. I dont see her hanging around much longer. She's a mess. and DEFINATELY not an American IDOL!!! the MAJORITY of VOTES WILL WIN.

43. You'll call attention to this, but you don't point out the conflict of interest with Randy Jackson judging Carly Smithson on American Idol?

Randy was her boss when they both were at MCA Records. He was VP of A&R at MCA and was part of the team that signed her to the label...and now he's judging her on Idol? See the problem here??

Seems to be a more substantive issue than a DUI that's so old the probation is over with.

44. If you go to Tippecanoe County (IN) online court records, you see more of her offenses: http://www.tippecanoe.in.gov/court/pa.urd/PAMW6500

Just type in her name and search for her. She's a habitual speeder. OMG! Throw her in jail! Gimme a break....

45. who the f*** cares? If an AI finalist is found to have a past which entails a major felony conviction such as murder, robbery, embezzlement, rape, or another similar type of heinous crime, maybe I'd be worried. But a DUI conviction? Big deal. *yawn*
