DUI's are NOT Felonies in any state.........they are all misdemeanors............there are some mitigating circumstances that could change that like 15th one or kiling somebody while driving drunk and being an ass about it like driving off and committing multiple other infractions. But in 99% of DUI's they are misdeameanors.

38. You'll call attention to this, but you don't point out the conflict of interest with Randy Jackson judging Carly Smithson on American Idol?

Randy was her boss when they both were at MCA Records. He was VP of A&R at MCA and was part of the team that signed her to the label...and now he's judging her on Idol? See the problem here??

Seems to be a more substantive issue than a DUI that's so old the probation is over with.

42. I adoe this young lady -- I think she's refreshing and I love the bluesy rock quality of her voice. There are two distinct types of classic rock vocals -- the Operatic Rock singers (Gramm, Perry, Heart's Ann Wilson, Walsh of Kansas, Mercury) and the Bluesy Rock vocalists (Raitt, Fogerty, etc.) -- Amanda is naturally suited to the latter, not the former, so yes it was a bad choice.

I agree that this "news" is old news and completely irrelevant. Shame on you TMZ for trying to besmirch this talented lady!

45. just another exmaple of why AI is seeing the start of its decline---the lowest ratings this year they have ever had and declining more each week. They are letting losers like this slip by, not doing background checks...America doesnt want convicted felons or convicted misdemeanor types on the show, especially if they are from the State people live in---people from IN are not going to be proud this goof is now representing their state. I wont even comment on that left over look from the late 80's she wears, enough on here already have.

AI will go the way Who wants to be a Millionaire show did...was a must see for a few years than fizzled to reruns and a day time show. Its this kind of stuff that makes its credibility suffer.
