Other Driver in Hogan Crash Sentenced

The driver who several witnesses say was racing Nick Hogan the night of the crash that left a man severely injured was sentenced in a Florida court today.

22-year-old Daniel Jacobs was driving a silver Dodge Viper owned by Nick's father Hulk Hogan on August 26 in Clearwater, Fla.

Hogan, whose real name is Nick Bollea, was driving his yellow Toyota Supra when he lost control on slick roads and hit a palm tree. Passenger John Graziano, a good friend of Hogan's, was seriously injured in the crash and is still in a coma, suffering from permanent brain damage.

Jacobs admitted he was driving the Viper, but did not cop to racing. A judge sentenced Jacobs to 90 days probation and ordered him to serve 25 hours of community service. He also lost his license for 90 days and must pay a $500 fine.

Hogan is scheduled to be in court on April 14.

61. Jesus Christ....what a joke. The judge should be removed- these two spoiled brats have just basically gotten away with murder.
Hmm...my ex husband is being a real pain in the ass. I can handle probation, I love volunteering and I have $500!
Now to just figure out how to convince him to accompany me to Florida...

62. While I'm NOT condoning what this driver did, it's obvious that he wasn't CHARGED as harshly as Nick Bollea was (AND I THINK NICK SHOULD BE CHARGED w/ ATTEMPTED MURDER AS WELL - he KNEW what he was doing could have caused bodily injury to SEVERAL people......). Do we know what THIS guy was charged with? Probably drag racing on a city street. Was it a fair charge or sentence?? HELL NO!!!!! Bollea's parents Terry (Hulk) and Linda should also be charged as negligent parents......not only that, it appears that they are not holding their son accountable for his actions. Jail time & community service for them as well !!

63. DRUNK DRIVING SHOULD BE THE DEATH PENALTY. DEATH WOULD BE BETTER THAN WHAT THE POOR VICTIM IN THIS CASE HAS. RICH PIECE OF TRASH LIKE NICK WILL PROBABLY NOT EVEN HAVE TO DO COMMUNITY SERVICE BECAUSE OF HIS STEROID KING DADDY.

64. Yep- realistically, there won't be much punishment meted out at Little Nicky's criminal trial- although he's being tried as an adult, he's a first-time offender, and the courts hands are somewhat tied on what they can do;

However, when John Graziano passes (and he will- there is no chance of recovery), we'll then have a manslaughter case, should the state choose to bring it- chances are, the Graziano family will settle on the civil side of this case, and be unwilling to prod the DA to bring new charges.

Of course the divorce is a farce; Hulk has been very sharp about protecting assets, and eventually hired good legal aid; This soap opera is designed soley for the future civil judgement- that's where Hulk is vulnerable;

What people don't understand is how much the Hogans are mocking us by this farce- believing that we're stupid enough to buy into it- how arrogant.

All in all, Little Nicky is going to skate thru this ordeal- as has been his pattern in life- and will wind up playing an Eminem verison of Richy Rich, being that his is literally too incompetent to be a fry cook at Mc D's.

However.....

Marines never retire, and never forget. One day, Little Nicky will be sitting at a traffic light, trying to figure out how the turn signal works of his latest Fast and Furious wannabe ride, and some Marine somewhere is going to put a bullet thru that little walnut-sized brain of his.....

At least that's my guess......

Semper Fi, John Graziano.

65. Did Nick ever issue a real apology - without defending himself or blaming John for not wearing a seat belt? Has he ever just said, "I'm sorry"?

66. Let's hope the Hulkster's spawn at least has to spend a DAY behind bars! Doubtful. If he is not getting time, have him work in a hospital where his friend is, feeding, washing patients and mopping floors for a few months!!!! Unbelieveable that is all the judge did. Had it been a 'regular joe', your kid or mine, they would be under the jail. Sometimes I still can be amazed!! I'm sure John's family is getting sooo much satisfaciton out of this.

70. And they wonder why there is so much violence and crime in this world!!! Doesn't surprise me one bit though. One famous person and one working class person do the same crime....MONEY TALKS and the working class get walked to jail while the rest of the working class people pay for it. The rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.

71. What a surprise! I wornder what the judge is giving Nick for bad behavior? Is there a GOD up there? Need Justice? It feels like something's about to give. These people can't be getting away with murder.

72. Go figure someone else famous getting away with a crime that woud put a regular Joe in jail. Imagine that! Maybe part of his punishment should be restitution; but in the form of each dollar will equal one hour, or something along those lines.That way his daddies money will not e able to pay it for him. Although that will not be enough punishment either.

73. Are you kidding me - 90 days probie, 25hrs CS and $500 fine. WOW I can imagine what JR. Hogan will get - 0 probie, 0 CS and $0 fine. Celebrity justice once again at its finest

74. Hell of a Deal! This guy's punishment is less than a 0.08 DUI arrest! Justice may be blind, but it sure can tell the size of the wallet.
