Prince Harry: Back Because of Blabbers

Long live the Prince! Prince Harry arrived back in Britain today after a 10 week stint in Afghanistan -- withdrawn after the details of his secret deployment became public.

The Prince did not speak to reporters as he left the troop carrier. Surprise, surprise! According to the AP, Harry was greeted by his father and brother at the Brize Norton air base in Oxfordshire, southern England.

Prince Charles spoke about Harry and the media leak saying, "I feel particular frustration that he was removed unexpectedly early because, apart from anything else, he had been looking forward to coming back with the rest of his regiment."

Officials say the Prince could be deployed later this year, but won't pinpoint exactly where. Shocker!

61. #13, seriously? LOL. You're kidding right?

Yes, GWB did all that then he became the worst President in US history. Thanks for outlining his downward spiral.

62. When the average Brit finds out how much it cost them to pay for Harry's private secuirty detail, they will curtsey to Matt Drudge...(actually, all this is old news, because Harry's deployment was reported in January in an Aussie magazine)

63. Now, its Bush's turn to go lead from the front. Julius Caesar lead the Roman legions from the front and other leaders throughout history - why not the US President? Good for Prince Harry! Jolly sporting of him !

65. The NATO-led military operations in Afghanistan are NOT considered one and the same as Bush's fake war in Iraq. The U.N. Security Council authorized the use of force, provided for under Article 51 of the UN Charter, or an act of aggression in its mission of securing the country. That's why Canada is also in Afghanistan, but not Iraq. Drudge should not have uncovered Harry's involvement. I agree that it is treasonous.

66. His boots look awfully clean for having just been in combat...you can't just polish those suede boots up to a nice shine. I'm just sayin...

67. TO #13 It's easy to do something when your a no one but once you have a career etc its alot different to then go to a warzone as a soldier. Comparing when Bush was in vietnam is in no way comparible to what Prince Harry did which is go to war when he has everything to lose. When Bush sends one of his children or goes as the president/soldier then we will talk.

68. for those who insist on calling harry a "hewitt", please look up a picture of diana's eldest sister, lady sarah spencer, when she was in her early twenties. harry looks very much like his aunt. and, all of diana's siblings, plus her father, were redheads. no one's denying her affair with hewitt (after all, she didn't!), it's just that harry could look the way he does and easily not be the guy's son.

71. I have so much respect for Harry for actually joining his fellow countrymen in this fight, and for continuing to be unselfish when his presence there was revealed. Remaining there as he wished would have just cost many more lives needlessly as enemies would have surely targeted British troops even more in the hope of killing him, and I'm sure it was a hard choice to leave.
I'm sure many others knew about Harry's presence in Afghanistan by the time blogs like this were able to pick up the story and spread it to all of us civilians. It would, however, be nice if the bloggers thought a bit before posting possibly sensitive information, though. This isn't just some "celebrity news" drivel, but could have helped cause even more unwarranted loss of life among those currently fighting in the middle east. Poking fun at some celebrity trainwreck is one thing, but can you really live with yourselves knowing that what you chose to post could have contributed to some relatively innocent person's death, TMZ?

72. I have been reading these comments with great interest. I have not seen one, single person make the observation that if the media could locate Harry, so could the enemies.

75. To # 13 -In May 1968, at the height of the ongoing Vietnam War, Bush was accepted into the Texas Air National Guard despite[21] only scoring in the 25th percentile[22][23] on the pilot's written aptitude test, which was the lowest acceptable passing grade.[21] This was at a time when more than ten thousand Air National Guard personnel, many fighter pilots, had been called to active duty to serve both in Vietnam, and in support of operations there.[24] After training, he was assigned to duty in Houston, flying Convair F-102s out of Ellington Air Force Base.[25] Critics have alleged that Bush was favorably treated during his time of service because of his father's political standing and that he was irregular in attendance.

Dreamer - so he went to the airport ,big deal. I do not see his daughters or nephews actually fighting. Good for you, Harry - and shame on the people who put his and his battalions lives in danger for a news story.
