Steve Irwin's Dad: Croc You, Terri

61. That's terrible! I feel awful for Steve's father. I watched an interview with Terri on Larry King Live not that long ago. While we all have individual ways of grieving I did think she was acting bizarre. Not the Terri she was before Steve horrific death. Still, understandable but, if there's any truth to her having negative influence on the zoo, staff, father in law, children....Terri might need an intervention. Grief can de destructive if allowed to go on in a negative way. Perhaps this might be the case? For Steve's father to leave the zoo though....something is severely wrong. Is Bindi allowed to be Bindi or "Steve Irwin's daughter"? Is this the same for Robert? I read he was "proud and unfased" by being bit by his first snake. While this family is different than mine that isn't "bad". It's when Terri can't move on and teaches her kids not to be individuals but "spawn of Steve for the purpose of legacy" that I think isn't healthy.

63. I think she hot if she wants she can spend a weekend with me. Other than that my question is americans so void of social skills. That this is as close as they get to human interaction. I thought Erwin was a bumb A.. and was not suprised when something he was tormentiing took him out. I can imangine her going thank God finally I can collect the isurance and get me a boy toy with and IQ of 16.

67. Listen, my children ; we do not even know if anyting is wrong. Maybe he is just getting older and wants to spend more time in front of the telly. Maybe there was a disagreement, and he deferred to the younger generation. Maybe Terri won't be taking all the risks that Steve's Dad did with Steve. Maybe she was frightened by Bob being bitten by a snake, my kind friends. They are nice people.

70. Sad to see this. After all, the dream of this zoo started with his Dad and all that his family did while Steve was growing up. Looks like the wife is gearing up to make money and Steve and Dad did it for the love of animals. Sad.

72. I have to agree with what seems to be a concensus of opinion. Terri Irwin seems to have pimped out Bindi in the name of "carrying on Steve's legacy." Want to carry on Steve's legacy? Let the people who ran the zoo do what they always did well. Get your kids into therapy so they can talk about the d a d they knew...not STEVE IRWIN LARGER THAN LIFE SUPERMAN. Go about your business, make some public appearances, thank people for grieving with you in the loss of your husband, and focus on your kids as kids, and your own healing.

Period.

It kinda sounds like they think he is senile. Just because someone has been somewhere for 36 years, doesn't mean he is right. Just static.

Terri might be doing what she should, and running a business gadged for the society we live in now. Things, especially business things, are not the same in 2008 as they were in 1972, For all we know, she could be saving their asses financially.
