Steve Irwin's Dad: Croc You, Terri

Bob Irwin, father of Crocodile Hunter Steve, has quit working at the Australian Zoo after dedicating 36 years of his life to its cause -- and it looks like Steve's widow, Terri, is to blame! Crikey!
Bob Irwin
In a letter sent to the Sunday Herald Sun yesterday regarding his abrupt departure, Bob thanks zoo staff, Animal Hospital workers, Wildlife Warriors and "all of Steve's friends out there" -- but no mention of Terri, who has growing control of Steve's empire, and is the mother of his grandchildren Bindi and Bob.

Previous to Bob's departure, there have been rumors circulating of a rift in the Irwin family -- including disagreements on treatment of staff and the commercial direction of the Australian Zoo.

92. Take your own advice doll. You're the one aiming vicious quips at a little girl.
A valium might make your aim go up a few feet.

93. I loved Steve Irwin - he was one big croc lover!
I feel his daughter-Bindi is trying to take his place-maybe appeasing her mother ,Terri- but rather taking it to te extreme! Mom is being reckless to expose Bindi sooo much and pimping her out all over the place... they both need to relaxI-the child acts too excitable and talks like a hyper wet jackal Calm down!
It seems they are celebrating Steve's death- then honoring it. The zoo is their goldmine now!-Money will rule their world down under! When is it enough?
Let the old man do as he pleases- he prolly doesn't have much time left on this earth...Terri wants to run the show.Steve's Dad is wise and sees whats going on-why should he step aside when he and his son started this zoo-and he taught him everything he needed to know...crikey mate! Is that how you treat family?

94. Sometimes you do what you have to do to protect yourself! Hats off to Bob..

The way to get "HER" attention;;is to stop frequenting their establishment..and stop watching the tv program! That will stop that..

95. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED to read of such problems in the Irwin family. The fact remains that NONE of us know what the true facts are in this VERY UNFORTUNATE situation between Terry and Bob Sr.. I just hope that in the near future they can come to an agreement to bring the family together again. Bindi, Bob Jr., and the zoo family as a whole needs all four of them to make the Zoo that Bob Sr. started for his family the VERY BEST it can be. We do not know what the issues were that compelled Bob Sr. to resign his position the way he did. While money IS the root of all evil. I do not think the problems facing the Irwin family are at all that simple.
However, in my opinion, I feel that Terry and Bob Sr. should always work together for the greater good of EVERYTHING that Steve held so dear to his heart. After all, Bob Sr., Terry, Bindi, and little Bob, were the people that he worked so hard for originally. These people were THE most important people in his life. They should put the Zoo and Wildlife Warriors in forefront and work together to carry out and make his dreams realities. Dreams can not become realities by being a one man /one woman show. That is the whole point in trying to do what he was doing. Working together as a team, the WHOLE FAMILY!
I feel like the true meaning of his commitment to these animals have fallen by the wayside. No matter what the true reasons for the disagreements.

96. Some of the zoo staff are quiting-because of this croc going on! Buisness is buisness-I hope the animals aren't suffering...

Bozo's Balls- maybe Bob Sr. had to start drinking to put up with the crap that is going on with Terri and at the zoo--They must not see eye to eye-----
Are you a clown down under?!

99. The Zoo expansion was something Irwin talked about quite heavily and even did a bit on a special before his death. They're plans for conservation and how to best do that were put into place and very very public BEFORE his death. Seems there's alot of forgetting going on here, and a helluva lot of finger pointing. He had HUGE Massive plans for that and like I said, made them well known. Those plans took money that went above and beyond his zoo. They included not just Australia, but worldwide conservation. I seriously doubt that has changed.

Bozo's right. We don't know who's in the right, who's being a hard ass and who's not. What we do know is that everytime someone who's the leader and beloved passes, there is ALWAYS fallout complicated by grief that's not dealt with. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that someone, one of em, is probably in that boat.

This is a FAMILY situation first and foremost. Going after the kids because their public doesn't change the fact their kids. Going after the Widow because she's public doesn't change the fact she is a Widow. Going after a dead man because you either loved him or didn't, doesn't change the fact he's dead, and going after Bob because he's public doesn't change the fact he lost his son. Everyones acting like children here. Let's remember why the hell the man died. He died doing what he believed in. If it's not your cup of tea, then move on.

Whatever the hell happened or didn't, it'll all come out i nthe wash, or it'l lbe dealt with privately. The important thing to do is keep in mind what this man died for. Wild animals are just that. WILD. Even the best, hell, especially the best, put themselves at risk every time they do their job. Conservation doesn't have jack to do with how the man died, or what Bindi's doing now, or what Terri and Bob are fighting or not fighting over. It has EVERYTHING to do with survival of species.

102. Terri must be pretty secretive- can't trust her- money hungery -- the media will always make her out like the grieving good widow...
The death tape of Steve was destroyed .I always wondered about that..

104. Sorry, but Terry is the next of kin and therefore the BOSS. Something tells me that Daddy-in-law and co. tried to overstep their boundaries and Terry didn't back down. Maybe she had to BE a bitch to stand up to those macho types. Personally I see his resignation as vindictive and spiteful.

105. That's too bad....look at the body language and tell me there's nothing wrong look how the kids are away from Grandad and she is not touching him at all...how sad, hope they can get it back to where it should be and spreading Steve's message....all the best to them.
