Eww ... She's Contagious!

Amy Winehouse is on drugs -- for a bacterial skin infection.

According to People, the wrecktastic weaved wonder has been prescribed antibiotics after being diagnosed with impetigo, a contagious skin infection which usually appears as small blisters or scabs.

That partly explains why she looked so bad over the weekend.

76. Anything to cover up what is really happening with Amy! Do they really think that the public buys into this crap! This is not Impetago!!!! Herion addicts are known to pick at the skin on their face and scratch arms (as we have already seen pictures of) among many other side effects of being a drug addict. Such a DAMN shame! WASTED TALENT!

Ringworm is quite different from Impetigo. Ringworm is a fungal infection and Impetigo is a staph or bacterial infection. Look it up before you speak and sperad wrong information.

ringworm:
Infections of the skin or nails caused by fungi and appearing as itching circular patches

Impetigo:
A very contagious infection of the skin; common in children; localized redness develops into small blisters that gradually crust and erode

80. Im sorry, but impetigo does NOT look like that and it doesn't cause massive swelling. Ringworm doesnt cause swelling either. Something fishy is goin on with her, but that's not exactly unusual, now is it?

81. I had impetigo as a kid (playground skinned knee got infected, I'd just recovered from a burst appendix not long before, so my immune system was probably not back up to speed yet). That whatever-it-is on her face looks NOTHING like anything on my knee did. Sorry, not buying the claim that it's something that minor or unrelated to her addiction problems.

82. Ok...sorry that is NOT impetigo! That looks like what is known as meth face. Seriously...I've seen impetigo when I completed my internship at a pediatrics office and it didn't look like that!! It really looks drug related like meth face or something related to crack. EW

83. She may be picking at her skin like a drug addict would do. I think she's ten times worse than Britney. Lets just hope she gets some help.

86. It is also caused by improper hyigene. And if you have a runny nose, and instead of blowing it, and you wipe your nose with your arm, (like little kids do) you can get it. Its really a gross thing, yuck. Just another example what a dirty little girl she really is. Wash your hands Amy! You can avoid this in the future!

88. Impetigo is not drug related. It is a staph infection caused by bacteria. She could have picked it up from any surface and the touched her face.
