Van Halen Tour Is On Like Donkey Kong!

Van Halen's current tour, much like most of their members, has been brought back from the dead. Van Halen
As we first reported, the group canceled remaining tour dates and hotel reservations through April 19. Live Nation, the company behind the tour, says that Eddie Van Halen is undergoing a battery of comprehensive medical tests to determine a defined diagnosis and recommended medical procedures. They say these dates are rescheduled starting April 24.

Eddie checked into rehab last year for alcohol-related issues.

46. #47

My sentiments exactly. I am amazed at these people who blame Valerie, DLR, Sammy, Michael and God only knows who else for his problems. What about the common denominator - Eddie. No one is holding a gun to his head forcing him to drink. It's called making a choice, people, and he's been making bad decisions for at least ten years.

47. The medical procedure he needs is a frontal lobotomy. He wouldn't agree though, as he has alway said in the past that...."I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy."

51. Oh yeah, let's bash the geezers. Ed's troubles aside, this band has NEVER sounded better - until the last 10 shows or so when the wheels seemed to fall off the bus....There are dozens of bootlegs out there, go find one if you doubt it.

As for "bringing them back from the dead", most men would kill to have a sixpack like Roth's right now. And explain the dozens of "geezers" who are bringing their teenagers to the shows to find that the kids LOVE IT. So all of you other youngsters go listen to your pop crap and leave the real music to those who appreciate it, and the attitude that came with it.

53. TMZ = The Moron Zone.

Let the speculation end and let the band and Eddie himself tell us all what's going on when he's ready to. It's very possible that this has nothing to do with booze, cancer, or anything from the past but simply may be the truth, that he has some unknown bug that has made him ill and the docs aren't nsure what it is. That does happen, you know.

It's shameful that people start unfounded rumors like these, when it's most likely they re telling the truth.

54. David is disgusted by his, once again, selfish, ridiculous behavior.
I love this comment. Dave isn't being compensated with an equal share but rather as en employee. His opinions and thoughts matter ZERO to Ed and Alex.
You might be a "friend" of Dave's but I'm sure you don't know the true deal with the band's dealings.

56. It's infortunate that these guys never quite got over the "Denial" stage of grief over their long dead careers. It's over, move on to "Acceptance".

58. GREAT JOB, TMZ. Way to start unfounded rumors that then get picked up and posted by every site imaginable as if it's the gospel truth. It is so hard to get good information these days.

59. I don't like Van Halen. I could care less about Eddie Van Halen, or any of them. But would someone puleezzzzzzzze tell Valerie Bertinelli to shut the hell up? She started out being this nice actress everyone adored in One Day at a Time. Then she went over to Jenny Craig land and everyone said, "Awwwwwwww, it's Valerie. She's so sweet. So glad to be rid of that Kirstie Alley lardass faking her 75 pounds." And now...NOW...she's gone and ruined it.

Let's write a book. Let's mouth off on the ex, the marriage, the life, the lesbian kisses, the yada yada. Let's jump on the bandwagon when the tour gets screwed up. Let's get on the cover of a women's magazine and mouth off about, "Well Eddie was in denial about his mouth cancer yack yack yack." And let's become a candidate for Person We All Used to Think Was So Sweet and Now Would She Just STFU. There you have it--2008's winner. If she doesn't watch out, Jenny Craig will dump her because no one wants to hear her agenda. They just want her to do commercials, look cute and perky and talk about how muh weight she's lost.

60. Drezo is sooooo right on with his comments. Van Halen may be older but I just saw them in concert in Des Moines and they rocked a helluva alot better than any of the so called rock bands of today. All you hear today is Rap Crap or some kind of dark noise with lousy lyrics and pathetic excuses for musicians who can't play a lick of music. Say what you want about Eddie Van Halen but there is nobody in their 20's that can touch his abilities on the guitar. This guy is one of the all time best and he and Roth have really got it going on with this tour. I only hope that they pull it altogether and resume their concerts so more people can rediscover or newly discover these guys and their legendary brand of rock n roll! Rock on Van Halen!!
