Angie Not Showing Bump in the Night

Angelina Jolie was on some official-looking business in midtown Manhattan this afternoon, but that's not what anyone was looking at -- they wanted to see some bump.

When TMZ caught up with her, she was well-draped in a dark raincoat, and we tried to trick her with the ol' "Congratulations" ruse, but Jolie's too clever for that.

49. I don't understand all the animosity shown for Angelina. She is a beautiful woman with a good and caring heart. Not too mention a very good actress as well. Anyone who doubts that needs to watch A Mighty Heart. Angelina and Brad have donated countless millions to different causes...here in America as well as abroad. Not only do they give of their money...they both give of their time and hearts as well. Brad is building homes in New Orleans...Angie is visiting war ravaged countries...not for publicity but because they honestly give a damn.
I commend Angelina for what she is doing. I guess the American majority would prefer if she acted a little more like their "Princess" Britney! Maybe if Angelina would take off her underwear and lose custody of her children people would get off her back. I swear...if Mother Teresa was alive and TMZ ran a piece on her someone would bash her.

And here's an aside to the topic...people always say.." why doesn't Angelina, Oprah, (insert name here) help the children in America? Trust me...they have both done their share. (and more.) But one time I read this response from Oprah and it stuck in my head....Children in America are privledged in ways that children in other countries don't even dream about.
They have health care and education, food stamps and W.I.C. ...etc. If you ask a child in America what they want or need..their response is Nikes, or Gameboys. The new X-Box or a $300.00 gaming system. If you ask a child in Africa what they want or need...they will respond...shoes so I can walk to school, books, toothbrushes, food, shelter, a cow to produce milk for the family. I am paraphrasing but I think you get my drift.

52. Maybe she was wearing one of those "fake pregnancy get ups " the stars wear to make it look like they're pregnant for a movie.. Just food for thought. I hope poor Shiloh is getting more attention... Seems she is pushed to the back... Sad....

54. Angelina Jolie’s Public Statements on Refugee Crisis
Over the past few weeks, actor and UNHCR goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie has brought new and heightened attention to the Iraqi refugee crisis. She visited the region, spoke to refugees and internally displaced persons, and met with high-level U.S. and Iraqi officials. The news and entertainment media covered her visit, and she penned an op-ed in the Washington Post last Thursday.

In it, she pointedly states:

My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis. Today’s humanitarian crisis in Iraq - and the potential consequences for our national security - are great.

Ms. Jolie is exactly right here. The crisis is dire, and the U.S. has a moral responsibility to address it. She urges increased U.S. aid to the region, which Human Rights First also believes is extremely important. And there’s a twin obligation of the United States, as a member of the international community and a key player in this war, that goes unmentioned in this op-ed - the obligation to resettle the most vulnerable refugees in the United States.

In an ideal world, or course, the 4 million-plus displaced Iraqis would be able to return in safety to their homes. But it’s not an ideal world. We must step up to help those at greatest risk.

Ms. Jolie also calls on the presidential candidates and leaders in Congress to include a comprehensive refugee plan as part of any Iraq strategy. (Check out our earlier blog posts for highlights of presidential candidates’ mentions of the crisis. Also note that there are leaders on both sides of the aisle seeking to address specific aspects of the crisis.) It is indeed essential that the refugee crisis be considered in all its aspects by the current administration and congressional leadership, as well as the future leaders of the United States. It’s inextricable from the region’s present and future.

59. If Brad would just use that fine mouth of hers properly the family wouldn't constantly keep growing. She might even prefer a "Big Gulp" now and then to loosen up the old gag reflex.
