"American Idol" has been trying to make Robbie Carrico into this season's Chris Daughtry (except for the hair) -- but it's pretty obvious he's a lot closer to being the next Clay Aiken. 
Check out this snippet of "Caught in the Middle" from Carrico's 2001 boyband called BFactor. You don't need Simon to tell you how bad it is.

17. Wow, since TMZ is so bent on attacking the Idol contestants you'd think they'd be aware that Robbie the Robot Rocker was voted off last week, thank goodness. Ironically, after TMZ accused the arrogant wannabe last week of wearing a wig, poor Robbie made the unfortunate choice of appearing sans the stupid headscarf and I must admit, it really did look like a wig. I don't know if there's any proof out there but there is a reason why Simon Cowell is so successful, it is because he is gifted at spotting the genuine article and he had questioned Robbie's authenticity, to which the so-called rocker rolled his eyes. Human hair grows an average of 1/2 inch a month so it would have taken Robbie's hair two years to reach that length from very short. Any photos out there dispproving it's authenticity?

18. Simon gifted at spotting the genuine article? You do realize he didn't like Kelly Clarkson or Chris Daughtry at first? And he thought Ruben would sell more records than Clay? Simon's talent lies in making people THINK he's talented.
And you don't really expect TMZ to check their facts do you? They get stuff wrong all the time because they don't care if they are factual or not. The funniest thing recently was when they posted a video of the Spamalot stage door, laughing at the number of elderly Claymates getting Clay's autograph. Except they hadn't even watched the video, whioh was mostly teenagers. rotfl

20. ok so he sang pop in the old days? so what? he's got a rock band now and his music IS rock....and it's good. no wig. and he was also in another boy band too but oh well he made more money by the time he was 16 than you probably have!!!
and he was good. luke sucks worse than him.
and vote for the worst just makes american idol a stupid show to watch anyway.
